    Software 3.6.5 Released

I haven't found it to be the case with the Gravity as of yet. I'm hoping to get the update as the front passenger window on our gravity is having the problem whereby the window goes all the way up and then drops halfway down like the car doesn't know when the window is up.

    Ionna rocks

For Orange County folks near Seal Beach/Huntington Beach Ionna is also opening a location at I-405 and Westminster (behind the In-n-out). The signage is up but the location is not functional

    Software 3.6.5 Released

If this is like other updates the 3.6.5 update will be rolled out to everyone as the way (at least in the past for Gravity) the software updates work is you have to have all the previous updates to get the latest and greatest. So if 3.7.5 was to roll out and you didn't have 3.6.5 for some...

    Ionna rocks

Early this year I had all kinds of problems with EVgO. Been better lately. Never had any problems with Tesla except a slow charger once. Tesla's superchager network has been rock solid functionally, though a bit slower than the EVgO chargers. I've only charged on EA once and it worked fine...

Interesting read on some car manufacturers dropping CarPlay

The data the car companies have is fairly specific (which usually means the data is worth more). There's lots of data you can get (IIRC I think it was BMW that was going to start flashing ads in their mapping software, that had to earn them something). The google reference was to point out...

Interesting read on some car manufacturers dropping CarPlay

Doing the math on your numbers would mean only 30,000 cars (6000/.2=30,000). So your math is off because I think Honda sells quite a few more cars than 30,000/year (and the revenue would continue every year for however long a car is in service). I'd also like you to provide the source of the...

    LCD Rear View Mirror

I'm not sure about the Lexus, but the Cadillac Escalade has the rear view camera on at all times for the rear view mirror (so the rear view mirror really is no longer a mirror). I think that's what the original poster is getting at, not just when you are in reverse.

Interesting read on some car manufacturers dropping CarPlay

The other thing car manufacturers can't do if they genuflect to the android auto/carplay interface(s) is differentiate their car from the next guy. I think this is one of the big reasons carplay 2 has almost no penetration into the market, Apple wants to take over the entire interface to the...

    HVAC auto needs fixing

The jet engine spooling up is the rear vents when they are over fan level 4. Lower the speed on the rear vents and the noise will go away, be reduced.

Interesting read on some car manufacturers dropping CarPlay

Do you know all the reasons why a car manufacturer would want to remove android auto/carplay? If not you can't back up this statement. There may be some very valid reasons not to have android auto/carplay (I'm not saying I know the reasons but assuming there are no reasons brings up the ass u...

Interesting read on some car manufacturers dropping CarPlay

I don't think most of the apps in the app stores work with android auto/carplay so this is not meaningful

Interesting read on some car manufacturers dropping CarPlay

The above bolding is mine and a major reason I think car companies would be incentivized to go away from android auto/carplay. There is money to be made in the data that can be collected. Google is a 4 trillion company because of this exact reason (data collected about someone can be monetized)

Is anybody successful in reaching Lucid for Annual Service

The main difference here is the Legacy car manufacturer's have had decades to build out their franchise models with the service network and there are still independent service centers which are qualified to work on GM/Fiat/Dodge/... Lucid needs to figure out how to get the independents to be...

Is anybody successful in reaching Lucid for Annual Service

Things like brake fluid changes should be able to be done by a qualified mechanic and not have to go to a Lucid service center. Same with changing any filters (which I assume is fairly simple I would hope). This would free up the small Lucid service network to work on problems with cars which...

From Highway Assist to Hands-Free-Assist & Lane change assist - An Air Positive review

Actually here in California the HOV lane is NOT a passing lane. Some HOV lanes are HOV at all times and some are HOV only during certain hours but when the lanes are HOV they are not "passing lanes". In lots of places in Los Angles if you cop saw you randomly pull to the right to get out of...

    Apple Key coming to Lucid

Not sure I like this given the relative insecurity of Bluetooth. Lucid has already gone away from Bluetooth for the PAAK and is using UWB which is much more secure. Not sure if UWB could be used for things other than a remote key. Yet another reason not to only rely on your phone for...

From Highway Assist to Hands-Free-Assist & Lane change assist - An Air Positive review

In California many of the HOV lanes have entrance and exit areas for the HOV. i.e. you can't just move over into the HOV lane whenever the heck you want to.

Pixel 10 Pro won't charge from Console USB ports

Pixel 10 Pro won't charge from Console USB ports

another data point: My father-in-law and my sisters brother both have android phones and the charging on the front row USBc ports on a Gravity Grand Touring is to put it mildly "shit". My wife and I both have iPhones and the charging is very quick. Was going to try the USBc ports on the back...
