Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

Okay this is what I don't understand, if is not okay to have to carry around a key fob but it is okay to carry around a key card? Said key card which does quite a bit less than the key fob, no trunk or frunk opening via the key card, have to enter the car and open the trunk/frunk via the...

    Motion Sickness

I've got a loaner Air Touring right now and the regen seems to be less assertive than on the Gravity. So it that's what you are insinuating then I agree.

    Motion Sickness

I've read in other articles (which were referencing studies) that the car noise is part of the reason. Not 100% sure I believe this but it is something that is quite different than an ICE car (although modern ICE cars can be fairly quiet, they aren't as quiet as EV's and the Gravity is...

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

Speak for yourself. Personally I don't want everything in my life on my phone. I sometimes don't carry my phone. I'd like either a key fob or key card to be able to open my car. Also if you are using a valet for your car and only have PAAK how does this work?

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

Isn't part of the problem with V2H that the standard isn't quite there yet? If it is the case that the V2H standard hasn't been finalized (for whatever reason) then I could understand the delay. The bigger question is was Lucid misled/misleading about V2H standard availability?

    Software wish list

I'm guessing this will never happen as it would require giving Google/Apple access to the on board diagnostics directly at which point Google/Apple would get any information they wanted about the car and bypass Lucid/GM/Tesla/....

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

In case you hadn't noticed this is pretty much how software is shipped these days to the consumers, get the software out the door mostly working and we'll fix any problems post release (there are exceptions but they are few and far between and usually lean towards the financial community) I...

    QUESTION Prospective buyer questions

Did the Gravity you drove have the "Comfort and Convience" package that has the rear wheel steering? The rear wheel steering shortens the U turn radius by 3 feet. Note that if you are wanting something that drives like a 911 (or near to that) then the Gravity is not for you. However for a...

    QUESTION Prospective buyer questions

Unless the Macan EV is different than the ICE Macan the difference in size is 12.1" long and 4.6" wide from the Gravity. I'm not sure what would be called "small" but I wouldn't consider a 186" length (Macan Length) to be "small" and definitely not "tiny". My 1984 Honda Civic hatchback was a...

    QUESTION Prospective buyer questions

Macan size: 186.1 inches long, 75.7 inches wide (excluding mirrors), 82.6 inches wide with mirrors Gravity size: 198.2 inches long, 87.2 inches wide with mirrors So the gravity is 12.1 inches longer and 4.6 inches wider

2026 Lucid Grand Touring maximum charge is 468 miles

I think the type of wheel matters doesn't it? If you have the range wheel you will get better mileage than other wheel types (though 40+ mile difference seems kind of alot of difference

    Software 3.6.5 Released

Do you have at least 20% charge on your battery? If not the update will download but will not install until you have at least 20% charge (and you can't be charging while the update is happening so have to unplug the charger)

Which adapters do you actually use?

@joec it really depends on where you are. In some places (like where I am in Oakland CA area there is basically a DCFC wasteland. Even Tesla doesn't have many locations (one near the Oakland Coliseum and a second in Emeryville near the Emeryville Marketplace). The EA and EvGO locations aren't...

    12 volt battery(ies) management

Are peoples 12V batteries dying that frequently? From what I've seen on ICE cars if the 12V battery isn't in the engine compartment getting heated and cooled all the time and having engine/road debrie splattered on the battery the 12V batteries last years. In my BMW Z3 I don't ever recall...

    Why did it stop

EA only allows charging to 85% at all the EA chargers I've seen. It you have the EA app it will tell you that charging is only allowed to 85%

Which adapters do you actually use?

The Gravity came with a CCS->NACS convertor and a J1772 convertor. I've used the J1772 connector once when I was at a winery and took advantage of their free L2 charging. The CCS-NACS convertor I make use of any time I'm at an EvGO charging station (and the one time I used an EA station)
