Lucid assistant is lagging further and further behind

Wrote several machine language programs for the HP-41CV/CX calculator. Ever produced a couple of ROM modules that sold reasonably well (including printing barcode on printers directly from the calculator to printers at 5X to 10X the speed which HP was doing.

Tesla has done this for at least two year (put the name in lettering on the back as opposed to the stylized T logo).

    Kim Java - Preview Gravity?

No I meant a shill for Lucid (Kim Java that is). The commenter was commenting on Kim Java's video about Lucid and saying essentially she was being a shill for Lucid getting a free car to test and had to comment positively because of the free car. So Kim answered and tore him a new one.

    Kim Java - Preview Gravity?

Having an FSD like system would be a game changer for every auto maker not named Tesla. If you look through the comments at least half of them are of the form "but it doesn't have FSD so Lucid sucks". So lots of Tesla Fanboys (and girls) commenting on the video (and one guy Kim actually tore a...

How to remove the license plate bracket?

    That's a Torx wrench. Probably a T10 sized

    Kim Java - Preview Gravity?

The thing I found weird was the inability to use the Lucid App. Has anyone heard of the Lucid App just spinning for several minutes?

New Gravity GT, a couple of questions

My experience is that the fob can have a profile assigned to the fob. We have two fob's and one has my wife's profile and the other fob has my profile. I've put a twist tie on my fob so we can easily tell the fob's apart.

Car and Driver rates Lucid No. 1 in “Who makes the best cars”

This has been the case at Wine Spectator for decades that things were pay to play. if not since their inception (I also collect wines so have followed the Wine Spectator a bit). I don't follow the car magazines nearly as closely as wine but I've never heard that C&D was a "pay to play" magazine.

LIDAR - Safest car on the road potential?

The fact that LIDAR has a not insubstantial power draw is actually useful information and could have as much to do with the decision as the cost of the LIDAR (we don't know how factors were weighted)

    Locked out of Gravity -

Do the BMW's have bluetooth or UWB as the communication protocol? For bluetooth it can be on all the time with very very little battery drainage. UWB (at least in the Lucid implementation) tends to use much more battery when the signal is on and thus will power down if it is not moving (like...

14,000-Mile Efficiency Analysis: 2026 Gravity GT (20"/21" Wheels) — 3 Road Trips, Summer vs. Fall, & Factory Alignment

I vote for the last of those. Although the sedcond (tire pressure isn't out of the question

So what is the difference between the cybercab and a Model 3 (for example)? Does the cybercab have more/different detection points?

14,000-Mile Efficiency Analysis: 2026 Gravity GT (20"/21" Wheels) — 3 Road Trips, Summer vs. Fall, & Factory Alignment

@torvald27 thank you for your quick response. I too have the dynamic handling package (and thus the rear wheel steering) and was pretty sure Lucid would have to do it. Though I will say this sounds like something that could be farmed out to other non Lucid shops to lighten the load on the...

14,000-Mile Efficiency Analysis: 2026 Gravity GT (20"/21" Wheels) — 3 Road Trips, Summer vs. Fall, & Factory Alignment

@torvald27 where did you get to wheel alignment done? Did you have things done at a Lucid service enter or would a place such as Discount Tire be able to align things?

Official Lucid Gravity Gap Cover now available for $235

This is the same design that is used for the cover in the back behind the 3rd row seats (there's a flap which adjusts the slant depending on the position of the seat)

    Ionna!

Jeez, you are lucky. In Southern California my cheapest rate is 26 cents and the highest is 59 cents. The former is still better than the regular Ionna rate of 39 cents though.

    Robotaxis prediction

Why not? The engineering side might want to make the code as efficient as possible but sales may say "hey your are making this software too good so we'll miss sales targets of our latest bigger and better widget. Stop that now"

    Robotaxis prediction

The one problem with using Nvidia for the software portion on their own hardware is nividia really has no reason to make the software efficient since doing so would mean less hardware sales.

    Automatic Headlights

Yes, of course I remember that. It was a button to the left on the slanted part of the floorboard. By the time I got my Honda Civic Hatchback in the mid 80's the high beam control was on a stalk on the steering wheel column. My parents only had automatics so not sure if manual transmissions...

The SOC guy reran the 100%->0% test at steady 70 MPH using a different Gravity and did in fact get a significantly different (better) number.
