I don't think this is the case. If this were true there would not be several GT's available now for $138,000 with no Trial for those features. I would assume if there is no Trial Available that hardware is not in every vehicle.

You might be getting a vehicle that someone else ordered but backed out of so the hardware is probably in the vehicle. They are probably offering you the Trial to try to get you to like the feature enough to pay for it.

Use the Mobile Key and carry the valet key in your wallet for backup. I find having the mobile key and real key at the same time causes confusion with the car.

Same with me.. If that happens I open the app and it will quickly realize the key is back in the car. I also enabled a pin so if the phone is not reading you can also enter the pin to enable driving.

I use it and it works flawlessly. There is no way they can blame your Tesla charger for anything as your car has no idea it's connected to a Tesla charger.

I updated with no issues and driving with headlights on I don't seem to detect anything different.

If it was mine I would just buy a little touch up paint and touch up that small area myself and buy a replacement wheel and keep the insurance out of it. Not worth the chance of a Insurance Premium increase over that small of damage.

The missing part is the automatic transfer switch that connects to your electrical panel. You cant just feed your vehicles battery to the house through a circuit breaker in your panel.

Glad to see they are finally adding the round wheel but what pissed me off the most with my latest Tesla is the blinker buttons on the steering wheel and finding the horn button when you need the horn. Removing those was some of Tesla's stupidest decisions.
