The Air, the Gravity . . . and what comes next

Oh yes!!! My cousin drove the van a couple of times. He said it was very fun vehicle. It's name was Edna (I cheated and looked up the name). I still have the video of the golf somewhere. Edna

The Air, the Gravity . . . and what comes next

Just to add a little to the lore... Their first test mule for electrification was a VW Golf/GTI vehicle. It was a video of the back road with the front wheels smoking and then squealing on a road in bay area. The video was normal speed and slow motion. They have come a long way since.

    Would You Purchase Again?

I am 10 hrs from the nearest service center as well. I am about 50 mins from mobile repair. I have no regrets and would purchase again - 100%. As others have said, nothing compares and delivers the driving experience. My factors were comfort, performance, quietness, one large and one small dog...

I just looked for 20"/21" wheels. You have Michelin Crossclimate2, Vredestein Quatrac Pro+, Vredestein Wintrack Pro+. If you call Tirerack and ask for sales, you can also order the Nokian Hakkapelitta R5 SUV. They are in stock for the tires sizes you need (265/50R20 and 285/45R21).

    Gravity winter tire options?

Here is the option (same tire) from Tirerack (fronts): https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Nokian&tireModel=Hakkapeliitta+R5+SUV&partnum=65R0HR5SUVXL&autoMake=Lucid&autoYear=2026&autoModel=Gravity&autoModClar=265/50-20F+285/45-21R Here are the backs...

    Gravity winter tire options?

Tirerack also carries the Nokians for a a little cheaper. If you call them, they have them. The cheapest for 3PMSF is the WinTrac - the winter package tires from Lucid is barely acceptable but way better for snow and you get the small wheel option for later if you decide.

I ordered the winter floor mats months ago from Lucid. They are nice. I have them installed if you want to see them. I also have the sunshades installed.

    Wifi Modes for Gravity?

Usually captive portals will require someone to enter information - something the car is not capable of doing.

    Surge Protector Needed?

Google is your friend: What Is the Difference between a surge protector and a fuse? Surge protectors and fuses serve different purposes in protecting electrical systems. Surge protectors are designed to protect power and signal lines from overvoltage, overcurrent, and electromagnetic waves...

    22"/23" All-season/Winter tire options?

I already purchased them. Will post some pics when they are installed. The rear Nokians are expensive.

    Surge Protector Needed?

You would need to add the external surge protection. As others have stated, best to mount outside your box to monitor the green lights - showing it is operational and doing its job.

    Utah Lucid Owners

Well, not shocked but Lucid did not get back to me for the price. Others have purchased just wheels for $4k - good test to see how low they would go from the initial $3750. The setup I ended up with is appropriate for the vehicle. The stretch between Heber or Mayflower up to Home Depot is pretty...

    22"/23" All-season/Winter tire options?

Ok, could not wait for Lucid to sell me the winter wheel/tire package so I went with: Wheels - O.Z.Hyper XT HLT - 20/21 Tires - Nokian Hakkapelitta R5 - 20/21 ...all in the proper sizes too. I got this off of TireRack. I dare say (having used Blizzaks for over 7 years and experienced amazing...

I found an alternate solution - probably and debateably the best and most expensive solution: Wheels - O.Z.Hyper XT HLT Tires - Nokian Hakkapelitta R5 I purchased on TireRack and the all fit. I was tired of waiting for Lucid to decide selling me the winter tire/wheel package.

    Sapphire compared to dream edition/gtp

Bank account check and if Sapphire checks the boxes. I would pay $50k for the two year newer 'high tech' car. I mean, at the end, no regrets right. On the other side, if you can pocket at least $50k and the 2024 with a little bit of miles is good enough - go for it and buy a real nice something...

    Surge Protector Needed?

Right now, it is building code for Utah. We installed a whole home surge protector when installing the Lucud hone charger circuit. There are two little green lights on the box. If it is building code, that is a huge deal and seems like a must have.

Maybe time for a new thread for owners who report *no* problems, (or at least, very few)

Delivered on Oct 4th. I have had no major issues at all. Just very infrequent software - and small glitches at that. Everything just works. I am running 3.3.9 right now and I will deal sometimes with my fob going to sleep in my pocket. I am kind of a taxi on weekend for the wife to run her...
