    Gravity Bugs / Issues

Yes, having had mine since June 26th, the software and features have definitely improved. For a reference point, the first several weeks I had my car until the first software update involved switching to guest profile then back to my own profile EVERY time I got in the car otherwise the...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

Agreed. I hope that Nick and the rest of the Lucid leadership don't think his 3 sentence comment buried in the other 10,000+ comments on that video will cut it --along with a prayer that this will blow over quickly. I've browsed many of the comments on that video and the number of people that...

I agree... With the limited money they have, the money the are paying Timothee and the basketball players could have gone to hiring a whole new team of ambitious innovative college software grads to fix the problems.

I watched the video too. The Xiaomi's software looks lightyears ahead of Lucid and seems to not have bugs. It basically looks like it's running an android tablet with an app for all the car functions. Much simpler and they didn't have to reinvent the wheel. I don't understand why Lucid keeps...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

I agree that Lucid needs to publicly address the video and software issues. Are you hearing this @Nick.Twork? They need to own the issues and instill confidence that they are fully aware of all the issues and the ramifications of them (and the need to fix them quickly). The first step to...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

I wouldn't let this deter you from pulling the trigger on a Gravity. I've had mine since June and have a few software quirks. Certainly nothing in the dealbreaker category and I would still buy this car again. That being said, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive (unlike some others on...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

Well, if he isn't driving the car himself and all he hears from his software team are positive ass-kissing internal reports, he may not actually be aware of the true situation. Having a better plulse on extent and severity of the bugs might result in different managerial priorities and...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

While I don't disagree with this statement, it should NEVER be "beneath" a CEO or any other company executive to interact with ANY of their customers and get a pulse on the company from places such as this forum or Reddit, etc.

They honestly need to reach out for 3rd party l external help from a company like Google, Microsoft, or Apple to help them. I understand they are stoic and want to do everything in-house... But they need to know their limits.

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

They need some *young* ambitious and talented people to take the metaphorical wheel in the software division. Honestly, they probably only need a few people... But the right people. They also likely need to have one unified stack for all their vehicles going forward. They can't afford to start...

    Engineering Explained. This is bad.

I'm not sure how much they are paying Timothee but that money should have gone to hiring/poaching a few *excellent* software programmers to analyze and fix those issues. I still haven't heard the temp CEO talk about a software focus (beyond the recent Level 4 vaporware). Do the C-suite people...

    Radar Detector Wiretap for Gravity

Thanks for sharing this post...the mirror tap looks very doable. Does it turn on and off with the car the same way the plugs and USB can be programmed to do in the menu system? On a side note, while I love the clean install with the Blendmount as well as the location, unfortunately it's not in...

    Gravity Bugs / Issues

So.... I had my first experience of the infamous "arctic blast" upon entering the vehicle. I may be able to shed some light on this from my 1-off experience: For the most part up until a drive today, I would generally make any A/C adjustments to the car with the physical buttons rather than...

Check you email - HUD Survey

I just answered mine being very honest. They need honest feedback. Sadly, the first question is "what do you like best about the HUD?"... <insert crickets chirping noise>. lol

    Arlington, It finally happened!

Lol you need to come more towards Dallas or Plano/Frisco...they are all over the place! That being said, I haven't seen any other Gravity in the wild (though my sister took a picture of one in Plano parked near her house).

    Lucid Gravity OBD port

There's no OBD port on the Gravity. It has an ethernet port under the driver's side dash for service to access the vehicle. You may have to get a windshield mounted wireless unit from your insurance company. They should have one as most EVs don't have an OBD.

Front USB -C something unique about them?

I have my Uniden R8 plugged into the standard plug outlet below the 2nd row console screen (with a USB-C power brick and USB-C cable from amazon...I run the wire between the center console and the passenger seat. I actually didn't want it plugged into the center console since there's no clean...

    Gravity 3.3.8 Released

So, after driving the car a few more times today, I do think they actually did improve the black screen problem overall...Though you still get black screens when you first open the door, they do seem to come on much faster than before. It still needs some work though.
