Living with the Lucid Gravity: A Tesla Owner’s Journey

I frequently get into my 2018 Model X, at night, to a Dark-mode dash at 100% brightness. Then I need to manually dim it to 25-40% depending on my desires. Other times it remembers where it was set last time I drove at night. I'm relating this because there are lots of quirks in Tesla software as...

Lease return excess wear & tear

I suspect that BofA pockets the money and auctions the majority of the cars.

Front USB -C something unique about them?

You need a cable that can negotiate with the port for selecting the power level. See this thread Post in thread 'USB C Ports Acting Strange' https://lucidowners.com/threads/usb-c-ports-acting-strange.11495/post-272201

Also, the release notes posted for OTA 3.3.1 included something related to phone mic volume.

Reevaluating the Lease vs Finance Topic RE BBB

But the rate of depreciation really only matters if you are changing cars every few years. I see the Gravity as a car to hold at least 8-10 years.

Wind noise + Will it brick?

Some EVs add a Propulsion sound. Heck, even some of the newer muscle cars augment the engine sound in the cabin because the physical engine was too quiet for the brand image. In my wife's Mustang Mach-E, it's one of the first settings we turn off. The Dodge Charger Daytona R/T EV has a fake...

    Second row folding fail?

With 4 grandchildren, the 7 seats are a major plus. And the folding mechanism gives a flat load floor... difficult to do that with Captains chairs.

Gravity Service Appointments and Time In Service

I'll throw my guess into the ring: Access Control Transceiver. Sounds good at least 😁

    Jiggling the key FOB

My Model X is usually pretty good...but sometimes it balks. Its fob is often in the same front pocket as my phone and it seems to have problems if the fob is hiding behind the phone. Might be something similar here.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Yeah. I got the same email. It looks like they probably sent this version to DE order holders, and the "contact your SA" version in case someone wants to get on a wait-list for orphans.

    Marketing Annoyance

It's the, "But wait...there's more...." I don't know the size of their software team, but I suspect it's not small. They can do more than one thing at a time. And as much as some managers would like to believe otherwise, developers are not fungible. And as others have mentioned, the man-month...

    Upping their advertising! Billboard!

California also has the highest GDP of the US states and is 4th place against foreign countries. It's also home to Silicon Valley on the tech side and Hollywood on the glitz and glamour side. And cars are a major part of California culture. While Detroit dominated the American automation scene...

    A pillar blind spot concerns

Those are for covering the blind spot to the side behind the driver. The A-pillar is the one at the sides of the windshield that is quite large to provide crush protection. The blind spot covers an area including the crosswalk as you approach a left turn. This is something the Model X shares...

    Reverse Split

I think there's a significant difference in tone and added value to the forum between: * 100 people each posting about their own experiences with an issue * 5 people each ranting 20 times about the single issue--some of whom don't even have the car--and how stupid Lucid must be to still not fix...

    Gravity ordered Tysons

Read up about moment arms and how weight at a distance from a fulcrum is multiplied by distance. It's all spelled out in those "other posts" you talk about. Once you understand the physics, you will see that having a lower accessory weight does not diminish the ability to tow a trailer. (And...

    Gravity ordered Tysons

This limit specifically applies to carriers, not trailers. The hitch is rated for towing 6000 pounds. This is the same hitch that Tesla uses for the Model X. Same restriction there. No matter how many capital letters you use, I doubt that number will change.

    BMW Earth competition

That same article also states: Midsize timeline. Lucid is due to start production by the end of 2026 of its first midsize SUV model. The platform also reportedly will spawn a sedan and hatchback. So Sedan and Hatchback (Hot Hatch?) in addition to SUV.
