    Regret my purchase

Homelink has been around for decades. Most nicer cars that I have had over the past 30 years have had it incorporated for free. Usually a programmable button in mirror or visor. And nobody prefers to have to fish around the center console for an old fashion clicker.

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

While I agree with you on something like what BMW almost did by wanting to charge subscription for heated seats, developing and maintaining FSD is phenomenally expensive. We all understand that the high cost for Dream Drive Pro is not just what it cost for the lidar and other extra sensors. It...

traded in my air... and got a polestar 3

I came from a Mercedes GLE 63S prior to my current Gravity. From a performance, comfort, NVH, tech, room point of view, the Gravity dominates the GLE. But I agree from a financial basis, the GLE might make better sense. No, the GLE does not have great resale value but much better than Lucid...

Lucid AI Agent kKim Java YouTube video

Hasn’t that guy that Kim is interviewing been fired by Lucid?

New high performance gravity being revealed this month.Plus the cosmos info

I highly doubt that a Gravity Sapphire would out perform a Porsche Cayenne Turbo EV. Only bragging rights might be that the Gravity would give you similar performance with more passenger/storage room. People are willing to spend $200+ for a Porsche Turbo EV because it is “A PORSCHE”. Lucid...

Gravity UX 3.6.3 is rolling out

I have a Gravity Touring loaner with 3.6.3 and DDP2. This morning on way to gym I tried Handsfree Drive Assist and it worked great. On way home (over same stretch of highway) it would not show Handsfree and only allowed Hands On Drive assist. Never had this issue with my personal GGT with 3.6.

New high performance gravity being revealed this month.Plus the cosmos info

Building a Sapphire Gravity is much more than slapping on some bigger motors and sticky tires. The Air Sapphire took extensive engineering time for chassis modification, body modifications, software performance modifications, etc. All this for something that will sell 20-30 per year? Makes...

    Q2 Earnings Call

This is not totally accurate. In Texas (as well as most of the other states that don’t allow “Direct to buyer” dealerships), the laws are not to stop EV sales but rather protect privately owned dealerships. Lucid can build “Showrooms” in these states (Texas has 2 in Houston and Dallas) where...

New high performance gravity being revealed this month.Plus the cosmos info

Key advantage with delaying release of Cosmos is that it can then be released with the upcoming NVIDIA point-to-point, hands free ADAS (similar to Tesla FSD). We all know that the Model Y is the main target for Cosmos. I doesn’t matter how much better range, better ride, nicer interior, etc...

New high performance gravity being revealed this month.Plus the cosmos info

A Gravity Sapphire does not make much sense. Extremely small market and no one is going to be tracking their SUV. Air Sapphire made sense as a halo car and statement piece to show Lucid’s engineering prowess. Doing similar with Gravity adds nothing. An off-road centric Gravity makes a lot...

    Q2 Earnings Call

I am at 54 days in service and if current visit is similar to past visits, I should easily pass your 66 day total. Just stating this in case this is a competition and there are prizes for those of us with most time in service.

CNET: Inside the Luxury Robotaxi Uber, Lucid and Nuro Are Testing

Gravity taxi will be run by Uber which already has Uber Black and Uber XL that the Gravity will fall into. Then Cosmos will fill in the normal Uber category. Waymo and Cybercab will not have similar options. No family of 4 (with luggage) is going to take a Cybercab from airport to hotel.

    Q2 Earnings Call

Oh great, that means for us in Houston that will reduce our 4 week service time down to 2 1/2 weeks. Speaking of which, my Gravity is back in service for third time in 4 months.

Favorite Gravity Feature of the Day

Question about the adaptive drive beam. How can you tell that you have properly engaged them. When I cycle through light settings using the left steering wheel stalk, I get the brights to come one but do not see the shaped pattern (car in front of me is totally light up and probably bitching...

For Science!! - Rich Rebuilds rescue an Air

Totaling a car can sometimes be very arbitrary. Back in 2017, here in Houston we got hit with Hurricane Harvey - 50 in of rain in 4 days. My car, son’s car and daughter’s car were all flooded. My car and son’s car had full coverage with USAA and they were totaled without insurance or adjuster...

For Science!! - Rich Rebuilds rescue an Air

But Lucid will brick every car that does not go through approved and varified repair process. Such as the 2 cars in video. Even if they could somehow find the needed repair parts second hand and then make the necessary repairs, these cars will remain bricked via their software. The only...

For Science!! - Rich Rebuilds rescue an Air

Insurance company decision to total is based on repair cost. That repair cost is coming from Lucid. Supposedly for the car that was at other shop with minimal damage (probably $8k to $10k on any other luxury car - Mercedes, BMW) Lucid did not even see the car. Which makes me think that after...

    DDPro inconsistent. Dangerous?

I like to call this “Tesla Transition Syndrome”, which is when a former Tesla owner switches to Lucid (or some other brand) and automatically assumes that their new car will work just like their former Tesla. I tend to see this more from former Tesla owners than any other brand. There are...

For Science!! - Rich Rebuilds rescue an Air

Looks like anything over 10 mph crash will total a Lucid. No wonder insurance for these cars is so expensive. Probably totaling cars as much as possible to try to drive up sales of new cars. I agree that the damage on subject car was pretty extensive and might justify totaling but the other...
