Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

The sad fact is that Lucid telegraphs little intent to ever deliver early Air owners anything even close to what we paid $10,000 for. A little less of a miss for those who paid only $6,500. Now, having noted this, a bunch of revisionists with other vested interests will protest that Lucid...

    My Service Experience with Lucid

I completed my annual Lucid survey last week. Note that I have had around fifteen successful referrals since I bought my vehicle in 2023, and I have consistently rated Lucid highly in the past. This time, when the very first question asked if I would recommend that someone gets a Lucid, my...

Gravity as home battery backup TWICE now..

While waiting for V2H, it sure would be nice if Air owners could get a 'power strip' adapter which could be plugged into the charging port, tapped into the main battery, and used to power several critical appliances during a power outage. Given that no third party has made this available, my...

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

But how has that approach been working out for them so far, and how do I reconcile it with what the new CEO is saying?

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

I am both an owner and a fairly significant shareholder. The problem is that the value received for the last dollar also affects someone shelling out the next dollar. For example... I want to eventually buy either a Gravity or a Cosmos, but I won't if my Air experience suggests otherwise.

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

You and I have traveled this road before. Near as I can figure, it's a circular route with no off-ramp, so I'll just say that I'm happy you're happy. :-)

Where is UX 3.0 for the Air?

I have no problem waiting a while longer for those features and fixes that were promised when I purchased my 2023 Air. I'm even (reluctantly) okay with Lucid's inability to reach the high level of DDP autonomy that was originally promised. However, even when looking at it from my shareholder's...

Taking Care of the Battery - Suggestions from Battery Engineer from Lucid

Yikes, @californiaboy935! 69 MPH in a 25 MPH zone? No wonder you managed to add miles so quickly!

A good way to check battery health?

I think the once a week 20% to 80% would be a tiny bit better, but both are great ways to go. As for being at a bit lower 93%, my guess is that checking your VIN placard would show that several months transpired between the manufacturing date and your purchase date.

A good way to check battery health?

Your math looks good, but I do see other counterpoints that suggest an odd set of calculations in the API. For example, the EV Database publication for the Pure/Touring AWD says that the battery has a nominal capacity of 94 kWh and a useable capacity of 92 kWh. Also, the 2023 Lucid Air Pure...

A good way to check battery health?

2023 Air Pure AWD with 25,022 miles. Manufactured & Purchased in November of 2023, and in a temperate climate year round. Battery health per the API is 96 (Capacity 84.79999) despite being about 95% charged at EA. With very few exceptions, I stay within the suggested 20% - 80% SOC. (I...

    dream car

I didn't have a problem getting back on a bike after many years, @Cosmo Cruz. It turned out to come back to me like... riding a bike.

Android Lucid App Finally Stays In 'Unrestricted' Background Mode - Didn't Help!

It always used to quickly shift to 'Optimized'. Sorry to say... If anything, my auto-open is considerably worse. May be the app, but may also be 2.10.0.

Anyone else encounter a strange tear in seat upholstery?

After 2.5 years, my PureLux is starting to tear in what I view as the oddest of places... Right about where my right shoulder blade rests while driving the car. It's in the perforated material right above where the seat back transitions from solid to perforated. It's not an area where I apply...

    Crazy Good Miles/kWh...

I know that Lucid performs occasional software tweaks to improve performance, but I have to say that the recent performance on my 2023 Pure AWD (19" wheels and no aero covers) has been very impressive. For example, I just completed a round trip run between metro Seattle and metro Vancouver, and...

    Air software version 2.10.0

Just wondering... Has 2.10.0 been widely distributed? Does it apply to all Airs? (Given the seatbelt notification, I'm guessing it does.) As it's been less than a week, I'm neither surprised nor concerned, but there seems to be very little chatter about it...

    Spare tire

One other thing to consider... My spare tire came with a two metric 'tonne' (not ton) jack. EU tonnes are 2,205 pounds, so a 2 'tonne' jack should be able to handle 4,409 pounds. Right or wrong, I figured that this was close enough to use, given the 4,952 pound curb weight of my 2023 Air Pure...

    Who is your favorite admin/moderator?

I know I'm heading off on a tangent, but maybe Walt Kelly's Pogo had the most appropriate Lucid line. 'We have met the enemy, and he is us.'
