    Gravity 3.5.1

Whhaaaaa? The designer's job is literally to prevent things like this. We had a window-not-closing issue today that was fixed with a steering wheel reboot. I get that all of these systems need limit calibration, but that this is not automatically done continues to be ridiculous.

Sudden soft steering and acceleration with no pedals depressed

I just realized they were supposed to call me back today with an update on the logs; I'll set a reminder to call on Monday. The problem has not recurred after a full sleep cycle. Off-grid cabin with no electronics looking more attractive.

Official Lucid Gravity Gap Cover now available for $235

I posted in another thread, but yeah - the problem is the slide covers are telescoping and can become disconnected and jammed. This happened with the left slide and we had it fixed in December, and just recently happened to the middle slide. I have an appointment scheduled.

Official Lucid Gravity Gap Cover now available for $235

I look forward to reports on this -- I worry about it rattling. Now that I think about it more, I'd be tempted to support this with an inflatable air bladder with the fixed panel on top, rather than a rigid upright support.

Official Lucid Gravity Gap Cover now available for $235

In the watermelon holder behind the second row. It looks like the upright bit is a support just behind the seats, and then the horizontal bit provides the deck surface which is supported by the upright to the front and the existing load deck to the back. The picture is just one segment -- it's...

Sudden soft steering and acceleration with no pedals depressed

I think we need to check with our spouses on that. It's probably not a very large shack. I spent last week at an off-grid dive eco-lodge in Panama, though, and it was hard to leave. There was solar power, and Starlink, and it's not -really- sustainable because it's a 2.5 hour drive to the...

Lucid Quietly Introduces Zenith Red Gravity - April Fools

FTFY: That does look fantastic, though. Since we plan to keep our Gravity 6+ years I've been very tempted... but since we park outside I'm wary of durability.

Sudden soft steering and acceleration with no pedals depressed

But, seriously, it feels like every major Gravity issue has to do with different ECUs not talking to each other. This can't be a coincidence.

Sudden soft steering and acceleration with no pedals depressed

Tell me about it. Today also my mother's cable is out and that company just didn't show for their appointment and I had to call and reschedule. Also my wine fridge is intermittently failing; I replaced the control board yesterday because with refrigeration it's almost always the relays, but...

Sudden soft steering and acceleration with no pedals depressed

I called Support to see if they could diagnose remotely after dinner; I had plugged in the car to charge and it was still showing this behavior an hour later. (It also didn't auto-restore the seat position on brake pedal depression.) They suggested unplugging the vehicle and letting it sleep...

Sudden soft steering and acceleration with no pedals depressed

This seems bad: I was driving down the street, slowly thankfully, and suddenly the steering got all soft and wobbly and the car started speeding up even with no pedals pressed. As indicated, the vehicle rolls backwards on an incline, and when stopped rolls forward regardless of if creep is...

I finally turned the HUD off today

Those are the requirements for AR Studio, the desktop design software. I'm sure the runtime supports whatever platform you have (just add money).

I finally turned the HUD off today

From this and other missing features, it sounds like the old software leads had just been lying to management for years about what was getting done. At least it sounds like they'll be able to use the existing hardware? Otherwise this is going to be an expensive service campaign.

Lucid Gravity Recall - Tech Crunch

The recall document details note (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2026/RCLRPT-26V192-7183.pdf): I'm curious what the supply chain looks like here; I thought Hyundai Transys was the seat supplier for Lucid. Is Camaco a subcontractor to them, or are there mixed suppliers for different rows?

Lucid Gravity Recall - Tech Crunch

I called yesterday to get an appointment scheduled because my 2nd row is jammed (again!) and one of the door handles won't retract, and I was advised of this safety recall. The tech seemed to think that they would rework the weld in-house if needed, but it was all new to him yesterday too.

    Wireless CarPlay and iOS 18?

I have Siri enabled but not Apple "Intelligence". I think it must be a versioning issue because wired works, and wireless says "pairing..." but connects Bluetooth and then just spins for a while. Ah well. Apple used to provide security updates for years to older releases, and is still...

Basically new Gravity DE for sale

There are new revs of parts, but unless they are dangerous they only get replaced if the old part fails (under warranty). My DE has had relatively few build issues, other than the second row seat sliders and squeaks which seem to be universal across 2026s. My steering wheel also was replaced...

    Wireless CarPlay and iOS 18?

Is anyone successful with using CarPlay support and iOS 18? I can pair the device, but it never shows as CarPlay capable. Wired works fine, automatically. My husband's phone is on iOS 26 and works fine. I've been trying to avoid the upgrade because Apple beat it with the ugly stick and broke...
