No, you think about what you're saying here: you are letting the car decide when it is okay to lock itself, rather than you choosing when it should be locked. There are many situations where you wouldn't want the car to lock on its own, as proven by numerous comments in this thread.

I was able to change the setting on my last car from three (the default) to four flashes. Four felt like too many so I went back to three lol (which doesn't seem like enough).

This happened to me recently. I think it was the first time I tried HFDA since the last software update. No HFDA, no Adaptive Cruise. I reset the car a couple times without success, however after sleeping over night (the car, not me. Well I slept too, but I digress...) everything came back 100%...
