Lucid Air vs. BMW I4 E40

It would be nice to be able to have the fob and still be able to use the mobile key but, at least to me, it seems like a minor annoyance rather than a deal stopper. But, having said that, I don't know of any other car that doesn't allow you to have both. So it should be fixed.

    Lucid support in decline?

How much are you going to pay me for taking it? I don't remember if it was you but I have previously criticized a Rogue, even a current one, as a joke as a loaner for a Lucid. I think the only thing a Rogue is reasonably equivalent to is a Yugo.

    Jaguar Rebrand

I think it did. E Pace vs. BMW X3 or MB GLC, F Pace vs. BMW X5 or MB GLE, etc. Trying to move upstream is difficult especially when the car company has a sister company already ensconced in the SUV high end market. I don't think we are going to see Jaguar or Chrysler much longer (I remember...

Volkswagen charging monthly fee to unlock full horsepower. Is this how the EV future looks like?

Car companies are trying to figure out ways to generate profits. For example, the principal difference between a BMW 330i and a 340i is the power (but actuated by different motors). Electric motors give car companies the ability to offer a vehicle with certain performance characteristics and...

    Lucid support in decline?

You have hit my sweet spot directly. A car company can ask me for more time, have trouble diagnosing an issue, etc. so long as they provide me with a reasonably equivalent loaner, and, ideally, make the process of doing the swap as simple and painless as possible. Make my life easy and I don't...

    HUD position adjustable?

I have had HUDs from several different car companies and they all show the rectangular hole reflection depending upon how one is driving and from where the sun is coming. But, most of the time, my brain adjusts to it and I don't notice it. Its sort of like a floater in the eye. Eventually one...

    $30K Lease for a Car I Can’t Drive — Lucid Ghosted Me

You still haven't told us where you are so some options remain closed. If you live reasonably near a service center, report the problem and request that the service center check it out thoroughly and ask for a Lucid loaner while they have it. If that works you will have another Lucid to compare.

Volkswagen charging monthly fee to unlock full horsepower. Is this how the EV future looks like?

car companies have been doing this for a while. See MB for its EQ series, Polestar and Tesla for example.

    Gravity 75 mph Range

Depends on how and where you are driving. I had these on my Genesis GV60P and I didn't think they performed well on turns and on the twisties. I swapped them out for Michelin Sport 4S tires and now the car feels planted. But...on the other hand, they are much quieter and will last longer...

    Lucid support in decline?

It is weird but for some reason car makers often have an issue that keeps replicating as model are modified and replaced. For example, BMWs have been criticized for years for having numb steering feel. One would think that it would have straightened this out but it kept replicating. Lets hope...

    Lucid Customer Service

There were but the current Administration is eliminating the requirements to increase the proportion of new vehicles that are EVs.

Needing suggestions in how to get an answer from Lucid Delayed Title Transfer to my State DMV

I agree with you about Arizona priorities BUT my experiences with the Department of Transportation have been excellent and I have always gotten my license plate timely. The legislature does prioritize automobiles and I think EVs just slipped under the door.

Needing suggestions in how to get an answer from Lucid Delayed Title Transfer to my State DMV

Lucid wants to sell more vehicles, especially as the Gravity ramps up production. This doesn't bode well for its ability to handle a large increased sakes volume.

    Hand Brake

A good instance showing how wrong and even dangerous media reports can be today. It is important to remember that this forum are filled with anecdotal information. Useful but still anecdotal and not statistically valid. Even some JLR owners end up with perfect vehicles and some Lexus owners...

2025 Air Touring or should I go up to GT?

The interior of a car is what you interact with every time you are in the car. Seat comfort, screen readability, buttons and switches, materials, etc. are all important. You may not be using 400 HP nor 800 HP in congested urban driving (but they are nice to have for those few times when you...

RESOLVED Glass Canopy in Platinum : Rear Bow Piece Section has Imperfection / Defect.

Actually, letting a car salesperson guide you will help you determine what to pay attention to. Whatever he directs you away from you want to closely review.

    Car towed back to Chicago

A 2018 Nissan Rogue? That is laughable. Even if that is a typo and it is a 2025 Rogue, that is still not comparable to a Lucid Air. During the pandemic my BMW dealership ran out of its supply of BMW loaners. But they worked a deal with Hertz wherein Hertz had cars at the dealership. As a...

    10 days and I'm out.

I also prefer a smaller vehicle. I was on the waiting list for a couple of years for a Pure when the Genesis GV60 Performance popped up in the Arizona market. It checked as many boxes for me as the Lucid, just some different ones. I had three essential requirements: performance, luxury, small...

    Gravity test drives in Scottsdale

Nice. But we call them "Mountains" (Mummy, Camelback). I see you live in Laveen. If you work in the downtown Phoenix or East Valley areas, your commute will be getting a lot slower as we are going to lose our right to drive in the car pool lanes soon as the federal law will be expiring and...
