    Is this for real?

Yes...and if you believe the reasoning I have some prime ocean front property in Phoenix to sell you. https://www.motortrend.com/news/ford-mustang-mach-e-frunk-now-costs-extra

R2 envy? When will Lucid start to hype its mid size?

They have? You mean you don't have to own two any more because one will always be in the shop?

I finally turned the HUD off today

I suspect it might be a function of the size of the driver. Since we are all of different heights, we view the windshield from a different angle so what may seem fine to some will be annoying to others.

Perplexed with Customer Service and Communications with Potential Lucid Owners

At the Scottsdale showroom they have five vehicles for test drives and it is rare for more than one to be out of the parking spaces. The ratio of Gravities to Airs has changed and currently there are three Gravity test vehicles and two Air test vehicles. No problem for anyone who wants a test...

    gravity jr. beware

I live a half a mile away from the Rivian showroom and 9 miles away from the Lucid showroom. Nonetheless, I see more Lucids than Rivians although I am seeing a lot of both here in Scottsdale.

Lucid Motors slashes 12% of its workforce as it seeks profitability (Feb 2026)

"Job cuts are always a positive unless they are cutting production" Give me a break. So Lucid should just close its service centers? Its mobile service vans? Its sales team? Its software design team? When there is excess staff, job cuts make sense. But to say they always are a positive is...

Is the Lucid Air in a Different League Compared to Audi’s Electric SUVs?

I think it would be the Taycan, Audi-e-Tron GT, BMW I5, Mercedes EQE.

Car & Driver is still liking the Lucid Air

    gravity jr. beware

I don't know what will be in the next Lucid but the R2 is absolutely not for me. I prefer a smaller vehicle but I don't want a vehicle that is simply an IPhone on wheels. I want real buttons and switches for things I do while driving such as adjusting the AC, changing my seat, lights, etc...

R2 envy? When will Lucid start to hype its mid size?

I think the concentration of Lucids to population in Scottsdale may be the highest in the country. I seem to always see at least one Lucid every time I am out. But the biggest reaction I get to the Lucid vehicles is "huh?" or "what's a Lucid". Awareness of software issues is a much smaller...

Service seems to have gotten less backed up, even mobile!

Yes they are. There seems to be some disagreement here about the Scottsdale service center: https://lucidowners.com/threads/thank-you-scottsdale-sc.10997/

US carmakers should be terrified, including Lucid

we are trying to throw them all out.

Shame on me...should have known better

I agree. I would encourage the OP to call again and see if the OP just got a support person who had just been told his spouse was divorcing him. Eve an incompetent attorney could win this one.

Service seems to have gotten less backed up, even mobile!

I don't have the numbers but based on my visuals Arizona is a huge market for Lucid. I live in Scottsdale and I see at least one Lucid on every trip I take.

Lucid failing to pay promised goodwill credit

I a I agree with you when it is the system and upper management that is the problem. When it is the employee himself, then I disagree. A failure to return a promised phone call, and then lying about it, is not a managerial problem, it is an employee problem and I have no problem calling out...

    Comparing 3 very different EVs

A very interesting chart. I would quibble with the color coding regarding dimensions. Some folks, like me, prefer a smaller vehicle so a smaller length would be green on my chart. But, then again, I am in a weird and small cohort in that regard.

Great Car, Atrocious Customer Support - curious about others' experience and advice

I would buy this if the OP hadn't tried both customer care and the service center numerous times. A defective cable should be a simple swap. Personally, I would have gone into the sales office and asked them to swap it out for one of the ones in their test drive fleet and if they refused, I...
