Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

Hint: The chart does not have a time scale. It is just showing SoC advancing, but it does not indicate time between each data point. I agree it is a funky view, but there is no indication that the charge was driving 20kW for several more hours after 100%. If a car limits L2 charge rate at 60%...

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

You kind of moved the goal posts a bit here... The original post was about 80A A/C charging, and that problem was charge rate dropping at a much lower SoC, around 60%. And you added the (inaccurate) blanket statement that "all charging rates drop as the battery gets full." This true at high...

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

I got that, but he is confusing that by the fact that 19.2 kW is slow in an absolute sense and is not a reason that the charge curve should degrade at high SoC. My original reply addressed that.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

Resoundingly yes: 19.2 kW charging is very slow on any BEV, even a Leaf. DCFC is the speed baseline, and the Lucid probably doesn’t get much below 100 kW at higher SoC. The AC current is irrelevant here, because the onboard charger converts the power to around 20 A at 926 VDC at the battery...

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

Yes, and a 19.2 kW charge rate is a very slow rate by any BEV standard. It is a tiny C-rate that should maintain its max to high in the SoC range. Also, the fact that others are posting similar issues with 11.5 kW charge rates should hint at a general charge curve problem with all L2 charging.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

This is true at much higher charging rates. But the L2 charging C-rate is so low that it can (should) stay at peak well past 80% and normally past 90%. At least this is true for every other electric vehicle I am familiar with.

Took 2K mile road trip, now looking to sell Gravity

Ha, I used the 99%-1% comment in another forum recently. If the 1% is stuff that matters a lot to you, the 99% is irrelevant.

    Gravity V3.5.7

Much like the fobs, this one is hard to wrap my head around. This has been settled science for 2 decades.

OEM navigation - yay or nay?

My ranking and usage patterns of the available navigation guidance offerings based on what they are good at and my needs... Integrated systems (pretty much the same for all I have used) - Best at integration with the car and best presentation in all available screens. Sufficiently OK with...

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

Google sells everyone’s data to the highest bidder. They are among the worst. We are their product. Cadillac just thought of this example first, but know that when you log into GAS, you lose all control of your drive data.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

Tell that to the poor people with GM's GAS that had their driving data sold to insurance companies and caused rate increases. The innocent have nothing to fear...

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

I am pretty sure that Google Maps navigation requires that the car's infotainment be built on Android Automotive with Google Automotive Services (GAS). The automakers with Google Maps, like GM, Polestar, Volvo, Nissan, etc. are all using AA with GAS. GAS is the cesspool of anti-privacy and a...

The standard Surreal Sound (10 speakers) audio system

Lucid should offer an accessory subwoofer that fits in the third-row seat gap.

In the decision making stage Gravity Touring lease — GT vs Touring + DreamDrive 2 Pro?

Ditto above. Per comments above, I thought Dream Drive 2 Premium almost exactly like the Tesla product formerly known as Autopilot.

In the decision making stage Gravity Touring lease — GT vs Touring + DreamDrive 2 Pro?

I just had a realization... Does DreamDrive even do lane centering at all, or is it just basic lane keep assist (the ping pong version? The bullets listed are just Traffic Aware Cruise Control and a bunch of safety features with no mention of lane centering. Most automakers have two tiers of...

In the decision making stage Gravity Touring lease — GT vs Touring + DreamDrive 2 Pro?

I think all the other hands-free systems like Super Cruise, BlueCruise, Driving Assistant Professional, Autonomy+, Hands-Free Assist, Teammate Advanced Drive, etc. use similar language for similar capabilities.

    Question about the dashcam functionality

A good dash cam with parking mode probably burns around 5 watts and costs around $500. You would need at least 4 of them for full car coverage like sentry mode implementations. You are talking 20 W total and adding at least $2,000 to the price of the car, but it is probably a lot more than $2K...

    Question about the dashcam functionality

It is not surrounding activity that drives battery drain. It is that all the cameras must be live full-time and the main computer is fully active doing real-time video processing to detect motion. And it is recording everything - the motion detection only determines what recordings to preserve.

Gravity HUD Position and Clarity Questions

Yes, that is exactly how all HUDs work. The image passes through a lens and then reflects off the windshield. The lens determines the focal length of the image. Although the reflected image is physically only few feet away, optically it can be any distance away, which means your eyes would not...

Gravity HUD Position and Clarity Questions

Interesting... Aircraft HUD projects the images out ahead of the aircraft so your eyes are not shifting focal length as much. Typical automotive HUD barely projects images forward, so it is not much different from the instrument cluster... However, I wonder if Gravity's AR HUD is projecting...
