Alex On Autos Reviews the Lucid Gravity Touring

I agree - absolutely positive, and it could well end up this way. When I started my search, I was considering nearly every luxury SUV big enough to hold my bike in the back and that was quicker than 4-second 0-60. I systematically eliminated most of them because they were missing one or two key...

Alex On Autos Reviews the Lucid Gravity Touring

It is not so much the cost of the battery that is the problem, as the fob being inop when unexpectedly needed because the battery is dead. The battery life is not a deal breaker for me, but it is a super turd user experience compared to every other car on the planet. And shifting to PaaK makes...

Alex On Autos Reviews the Lucid Gravity Touring

I do not own a Gravity yet. I am following here to learn everything I can before making my decision. I am aware of everything above. I am not sure yet that Lucid improved fob battery life to years versus six months like other cars, but it does seem improved. And there still seems to be some...

Alex On Autos Reviews the Lucid Gravity Touring

The overall review is excellent and covers a lot of the stuff I care about in the way I care about them. I loved the conclusion where he compares the Gravity to its other 3-row premium competitors. It seemed like a very objective scoring of how the individual cars compare. No question that the...

Alex On Autos Reviews the Lucid Gravity Touring

A few of these are my soap box items that matter a lot to me as someone who needs to make a car order or purchase decision in the next month. The performance, engineering, and packaging of the Gravity are intoxicating, but at the same time, my higher priority is simply doing the everyday car...

    PAAK

The point this was echoing is not engineering, it was that iOS 27 is a false limitation. Apple Key PaaK has been working in other cars for many years.

    PAAK

Well, iOS public release is 9/14. Then Lucid would need to release their corresponding mobile app update after that. And they may need to release a corresponding vehicle update. Maybe sometime late September, at the earliest.

    Gravity Audio Mods?

That was my take when I did my audio system “test drive,” except I thought it fell off in the 100 Hz to 120 Hz range. To me, the SSP lost most kick bass, bass guitar, timpani, and low piano notes. The system has about half the power of the class-leading ultra premium systems, so it is probably...

    Software wish list

Right... you had posted that in the other wish list thread too, but the forum wouldn't let me edit my post. And now I cannot edit this one, so history is doomed to repeat.

Nice overall USA EV charging status

One of the greatest inventions is the 20 oz pint. Way better than a tonne.

Nice overall USA EV charging status

There is actually a global SAE standard that formally defines electric vehicle charging: AC Level 1 = 120V AC Level 2 = 240V split phase or 208V single phase AC Level 3 = 208V three phase DC Level 1 = <80 kW DC Level 2 = <400 kW Media outlets have dumbed this down, but the explicit standards...

Nice overall USA EV charging status

OK, what do you prefer? Lectron is a very well known brand that is either ignorant of vehicle charging standards or intentionally misrepresenting vehicle charging standards. They may not be actual idiots, as they may not be acting acting in a foolish or stupid way. I suppose they are just...

Nice overall USA EV charging status

This is both interesting and useless at the same time... I wish AAA had the awareness not to combine L1/L2 and DCFC into a single average price. That makes no sense and does not help consumers. L1/L2 pricing is generally driven by consumption. While DCFC pricing is driven by utility demand...

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

Yeah, a lot of it probably depends on the age of the car. If you dig through the historical data, Tesla FSD take rate was around 7% in 2022. Then they released HW4 and lowered the price, and take rate increased to around 8% in 2023. In 2024 they lowered the price again and then pivoted to...

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

Tesla FSD take rate is growing very fast. To your point, it is probably not in many of the earlier cars, but it is far more common in the HW 4 cars and HW3 cars thanks to FSD "lite" and the pivot to $100 subscription. Folks are quick to hit on that take rate you cited, but they ignore that it is...

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

The reality is that this is how a lot of people have been using Tesla FSD for a few years now. Older folks who probably should not have keys, people out drinking, dude sleeping on the way in to work, soccer mom's watching videos on their phones, etc... If you see a recent Tesla on the road, the...

QUESTION How many here are lease Gravity compare to buying them

I do not think this is a negotiation. It is just a standard part of the lease calculation. That said, there are some lenders that simply do not want to mess with more complex leases, like One Pay or MSDs.
