GT 7 Seater 22/23 vs T 5 Seater 20/21s - The Touring has stolen my heart

Yes. I don't have the numbers on hand, but I've done both and I remember them being pretty close.

GT 7 Seater 22/23 vs T 5 Seater 20/21s - The Touring has stolen my heart

Yep. Sorry, to be clear, cost between Lucid and Craftsman isn't that different (for just the swap and alignment). The difference is Craftsman can get you an appointment a few days out.

GT 7 Seater 22/23 vs T 5 Seater 20/21s - The Touring has stolen my heart

Don't do it :) Traction issues aside, it does get cold enough for that summer rubber to fail here. If you live nearby, Craftsman Auto Care in Merrifield has been my go-to for wheel swaps and safety inspections. They have the correct lifts and alignment setup.

Navigation unresponsive/freezes both Lucid and CarPlay

I have the same bug, though it sounds like less frequently than you. It's some kind of problem with the TCU, and I can confirm it has nothing to do with using Lucid nav sometimes (I don't). The only way I'm aware of to fix it is a reboot. Here's what I know: The TCU is the computer in the car...

    Lucid Gravity in the wild

Love it! What bike rack do you have on there?

SOLD Original Air DE Wheel+Tire set

This is a set of the limited edition rims that came with the Air Dream Edition along with the older model Pirelli P-Zero LM1 tires. The tires are in good shape, only 6-7k miles on them. Stored bagged and on their sides. There are a couple scratches on the rims (pictured). These are my favorite...

Is The 2027 Air Announcement Imminent?

Nope, regularly scheduled return. The waived return fee was a “loyalty credit” for getting a Gravity at the same time.

    Lucid CAN Sniffing Project

Indeed, most messaging is over Ethernet. There are only some edge peripherals connected via CAN. Note the trunk diagnostic port also requires authentication. It’s “automotive Ethernet” internally too, not the regular Ethernet you use in your home, so you need a transceiver and an annoying to...

Is The 2027 Air Announcement Imminent?

As a random counterexample, I just turned in my Air with $0 charges and a waived return fee despite having a door ding, a dent on the trunk, and a normal amount of paint chips and scratches. I assumed the situation had been resolved.

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

Could be. FSD is 2++. Eyes on, driver responsibility.

Update on Our Next OTA Release (post-3.6.0)

Point of confusion there: @Pops is talking about a release for the Air, not the Gravity release the rest of this thread is talking about

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

Plotting a route is a very different thing from "self-driving" it. Again this is just coming from internet research so I'll cede to actual experience, but for the case I can speak to: Lucid supports offline maps for navigation. You can plot a route and pick waypoints with no connectivity. Dream...

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

My apologies, apparently you're right. I read that online, but apparently I should have checked the facts. I guess Tesla is the exception? Further reading suggests both GM SuperCruise and Ford BlueCruise do require an active data connection just like Lucid.

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

That is exactly how it works, even today in Lucids. If you lose service, Drive Assist will no longer engage. I don’t think it suddenly disengages on you, but its accuracy is noticeably reduced. Cruise control will keep working because that is local only. Tesla FSD actually will work for a single...

Is full self driving being developed for Gravity?

On the other hand, if it’s anything like a traditional car the best you might get is a $600 stack of DVDs to update your maps and that’s it. Your analogy is to the wrong thing. L2++ and beyond is a service, not a product that you can really own. It is an ongoing cost to the company as you use...

    Is Lucid styling the problem?

It can be up to 6144 kbps per channel though. This is the same format that Tidal streams. Sounds great off a USB stick in the car. I use both, since it’s not rare for me to drive out of cell coverage.

    Is Lucid nerfing power output?

And this is why the Sapphire has a custom set of track tires now :)

    Is Lucid nerfing power output?

Sorry, meant to say not limited by the 21" summer tires. Not disagreeing with you there.

    Is Lucid nerfing power output?

The GT's software limit (168mph) is just under the limit the 21" Pirelli tires are rated for (300km/h or 186mph). The lower trims aren't limited by the tires. It may just be marketing, but rumor has it the motors and some other drive train components are actually not identical between the higher...

    Charging extension cord?

That's AC / level 2. Much lower power than DCFC. Until something like the above from A2Z gets UL certified, stay far far away from anything claiming to be a DCFC extension cable. @Brian1000 Your best bet right now is to check https://supercharge.info/map before going to a supercharger.
