Some more intel from my testing with AUTO set to ~70. When on AUTO, the front dash area has loud fan noise. However, the dash vent is not active. It seems to be programed to blow the rear seat fans at higher speed and turns down the front seat vents. When I turn off AUTO I observe 3 things: 1)...

    Take Care of Your Windshield!

I had a rock hit my windshield as well, then the heat came and so did the giant spider crack. Took nearly 3 months to get it fixed. The first body shop which was the closet to me was Cranston Collision. They are a mom and pop shop who did nothing but waste my time and kept fighting with me and...

    Keep Mode

...to keep it on. I think our Rivian does too but I don’t drive it enough. I use creature comfort daily for extended periods and it uses very, very little battery even when it’s 100 outside and 72 in the car. Same with the inverse when I have to keep heat on. It’s a great feature on EVs in...

Really good observations. I will have to check the dash vents as the noise we hear could be that. But I also totally agree that the vent placement doesn't reach the driver well enough and gets blocked by the screen. Design flaw IMO and they should update this in future models, although 2027 had...

...cold air deflects off the back lower screen and blasts either my right hand or my right knee with frigid air while my face is warm with radiant heat from above (despite having the shade installed). Once the cabin temp is reduced I'm comfortable but it's overall pretty unsatisfying experience...

New owner - thoughts and experiences

Nothing is lost to heat either way as long as you have regen on (which typically does all the slowing down to the last few MPH). 1PD (HOLD) uses friction brakes for the last few MPH, just like 2PD (CREEP) driving. There's pros and cons to both. Two ways to accomplish the same thing.

...deceleration you like, while converting that forward motion back into electricity to charge your battery. Nothing is lost to friction and waste heat. You'll also get better at inching forward when you want to. In time you might find the idea of a car creeping forward when you are not...

    Locked out of Lucid Gravity

Mmm, you came here to make this one post? Either way, it’s not good to leave everything in the car. Always have a phone, key fob or keycard. You don’t want anyone breaking into your car, right?

    Locked out of Lucid Gravity

I am doing my best to try to understand a decision to leave a car unlocked with the phone and all other means of unlocking it, inside. Other than in my house, I can't think of many places where I don't have my phone on me. It's a life line ... for me. YMMV. Stuff happens. It's called life. Life...

    Locked out of Lucid Gravity

User just joined yesterday for what it's worth; besides, can someone explain to me why you would leave all mean of access to your car inside it and running then leaves? Are you trying to have your car stolen?

    Locked out of Lucid Gravity

...off and locked. I couldn't get in. I pressed the handles, nothing worked. If my kids were in the car we would have had an emergency situation because of the heat. This needs fixed immediately. I had to borrow a phone to call my husband to have him unlock the car by the app. Thank God he answered.

Update on Our Next OTA Release (post-3.6.0)

Right, I just meant the only way using the app to unlock the door vs the slow fob might be more convenient is if I'm pulling the phone out to use the app to start climate anyway. Then it's just one more click with phone already in hand and app already opened. But doing both at the same time...

Update on Our Next OTA Release (post-3.6.0)

I don't think you have to unlock the car to run the ac/heat before you get into the car.

    QUESTION Prospective buyer questions

Agree 100% with @borski and I am 21,000+ miles into my Gravity journey since August 2025. We also have an R1S - they’re really not comparable (to me). My wife drives the R1S. Gravity has noticeably more cargo space in real life and on paper and it is the only car where my kids will sit in...

HVAC - no cooling when car is not moving

...doing its various thermal things…. I can hear the fans in the dash from outside too. (You may be echoing my guess that something’s up with the heat pump intake fan….if so, yeah, likely no easy fix I’m overlooking) There is definitely air blowing through the vents at the fan-setting speed...

HVAC - no cooling when car is not moving

...I thought it was worth bouncing it out to the forum in case there’s some easy fix that I’m overlooking. My car is a 2025 air touring, with the heat pump. This summer, I noticed that the car was not pre-cooling, nor was it maintaining the cabin temperature when I use the “hold” setting when...

"New gravity DE rear badge" Was this just replacing a broken badge or did they come up with some kind of new badge?

    Possible frunk power strut issue.

Those strust are plenty powerful, my right side only occasionally reluctant to push when heat soaked, I suspect its a defect that only shows when hot. Or it could be a delayed signal to the right.
