Annnnnd I spoke too soon. The bogus error that the camera can't see my face is still there. So no improvement since this bug started in 2.9.X

If you are in park, the toggle flips back on as soon as you click it off. Why would you have a toggle for something you can't turn off? But then if you do it while you are moving, it stays off. It's a bug.

It's just a bug introduced in 2.9. You've already found the best workaround, which is to toggle it off while the car is driving, not stationary. Other than that, you'll just have to wait for a new release to fix it.

The toggle itself is still kind of broken. When you turn it off, it turns itself back on again immediately. Seems to do that while stationary, but if you drive away and then turn it off, it stays off. So far, anyway. But the error that the camera can't see me hasn't popped up again.

No idea. Maybe it's related to the half shaft recall, because my car is subject to that one. And the typo is from using the screenshot text selection on Android. I can't find any way to pull up the notes in a browser so that's the best I could do, short of retyping the entire thing

Update said it would take an hour and it took 50 minutes, so pretty close. This was on cellular as WiFi breaks my car so I keep it turned off. Not planning to drive tonight so I'll report back tomorrow if I detect any issues. Fwiw I was on 2.9.3 before getting this update.

I've just been prompted to install 2.10.0 on my 2025 Air Pure. It's not a ton of features... New seat belt indicator, faster camera response, better detection of potential drive system problems. Installing now

I'm right there with you. I have a 2025 so I already have the newer chip but if I didn't, I'd probably think twice about installing it if my main goal was to prepare for 3.x.

If they canceled the Air entirely (big if), it wouldn't make sense to invest in 3.x. I have no idea, just conjecture, but I guess I wouldn't take it as gospel that 3.x is coming to the Air just because Nick Twork said it months ago.
