    3.0 on Air

This mirrors my experience with the update as well. I could only power up the car by putting my pin in. It would not recognize the fob, phone, or key card. The car would not turn off unless I locked it manually. I unpaired my phone and fob and could not re-pair either device. I booked a...

    3.0 on Air

Following the release of 2.11 I had this problem. The car would not recognize the fob or phone and required a pin to power up. The issue resolved itself on its own overnight.

    3.0 on Air

I’ve been experiencing this as well but I chalk it up to cell service in my area which is really lousy. It usually corrects itself once coverage improves although I do find instances where the initial error locks Tidal up and the only fix is a reset.

Dream Edition: What Excellent Support Looks Like

It was handled in the best possible way given the circumstances. It’s what any of us would hope for if we found ourselves in the same situation. I would agree though that a major failure followed by a month in service is a major cause for concern particularly given the frequency in which such...

    Lucid Air Cupholder NHTSA Complaint

Hyperbole doesn’t make it true. There is simply no universal standard for cup holders or cups for that matter. Contents can spill in any car when the two are incompatible. I know what types of cups do and don’t fit the cupholders in all of my cars and adjust. I do that not because I love my...

    Lucid Air Cupholder NHTSA Complaint

If learning new ways to do things isn’t in your wheelhouse, owning a Lucid will be a very, very frustrating experience. Adapting to the cup holders is probably one of the easiest transitions you’ll make with the car.

Should I stay with 2.10 and my cccv1 or nice to upgrade and get the 2.11?

I couldn’t agree more. I don’t think the SC network envisioned doing the type of QC work that has been necessary. The problem has to be fixed at the source if the service centers are ever going to operate at a level that customer expect. I’ll compare this to a problem that occurred this...

Recommendations for OC Lucid-certified body shops

Your post from last week of what initially looked like seemingly minor damage was a really good illustration of this. Even if it wasn’t required by law, it would be intellectually dishonest to quote a repair without doing a full tear down and inspection.

Should I stay with 2.10 and my cccv1 or nice to upgrade and get the 2.11?

I called for an appointment at Scottsdale at the beginning of the month and it was two months. Unfortunately things seem to be getting worse.

For Science!! - Rich Rebuilds rescue an Air

I wouldn’t conflate the resurrection of a salvage vehicle with an owner’s right to repair. While I can understand an owner’s desire to work on their car, it is not at all the same as taking a vehicle that has been declared a total loss by an insurer and putting it back on the road. As a...

And even if you took a slight haircut it would be nowhere near the $75K (or more) hit the initial owner took.

Lucid Owners Club Meetup Recap – Beverly Hills, Sat Oct 17

Many of the features that drew people to the Air and Gravity were not available when the cars launched but were promised in the future. Dream Drive Pro in the Air is a good example of this. Many buyers were drawn to this feature when the car was launched in 2022. Unfortunately it didn’t...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

I would second that. And although Lucid charges a hefty premium for DDP and SSP, it’s not reflected in used car pricing.

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

Being competitive is always subjective. There are certain things that Lucid prioritized in designing the Air. You won’t find many cars that are competitive with the AGT when it comes to range, charging efficiency, or interior space. At the same time there are things that other sedans may be...

    Software wish list

Given the limited development resources this would be a poor investment. And the features that you’re asking for are available in third party apps. The data aggregation in those apps is far more useful given the total number of EV drivers vs. Lucid owners. There are chargers that may not see...

What's Next for the Lucid Factory?

There are no public tours of AMP-1. They used to host events for the Owners Club in Phoenix in conjunction with the annual Family Day for employees. Those events included a factory tour. The last such event was in October of last year. It may have become a casualty to cost cutting.

    Crash

It’s a contingency case where the attorney would receive their fee as a percentage of a settlement/judgement. But absent an injury the damages would be the value of the car. And those costs will be incurred by the insurer which would have lien rights on any settlement. That’s a disincentive...

    Crash

I suspect that the car is not in the possession of Lucid given its condition. It’s most likely at a salvage yard or body shop which should be able to remove it. The insurer may be able to coordinate recovery.

    Crash

By law the data is owned by the vehicle owner. However, it is encrypted and would need to be sent to a third party to be read.

    Crash

Fortunately it does not appear that you were injured. From a legal standpoint the value of your case would be represented by the damage to your car. And to prevail your attorney would likely need to retain an expert to definitively establish that the car malfunctioned. And that would come at a...
