    Hello from new member

Welcome! Always good to have new Lucidites (not to be confused with Luddites) join the fold. What are your specs? <---Lucid-speak for "pics or it didn't happen"

Which adapters do you actually use?

Guess if I was truly interested I would just ask my friendly local AI bot, right? So it seems that using iONNA / Walmart NACS chargers should yield similar results as using Tesla V4, and BETTER results than using Tesla V3 and lower.

Which adapters do you actually use?

Exactly why I went ahead and purchased A2Z NACS to CC! adapter. For years I assumed I'd never need one and therefore didn't purchase one when I had my Equinox EV. But now that I see iONNA and Walmart have both configurations onsite, I figured it would be prudent to keep one in the car in the...

Dream drive pro and autonomy subscription

Based on my time in Product Portfolio Planning at a major OEM...nope. That's like numbering grains of rice.

Which adapters do you actually use?

So if you used NACS throughout the trip you apparently have an adapter already. Curious why you would use the adapter to access NACS at Rivian and Buc-ee's since they both have CCS1 stalls available.

Which adapters do you actually use?

Some charge providers provide both NACS and CCS. One iONNA station I stopped at had both. All the NACS stalls were taken. A Kia EV6 (newer ones have NACS) used an adapter in order to use an available CCS stall rather than wait for a NACS stall to open up. Ironically, I had only recently received...

    Parking rant

Funny you should say that. A Trackhawk tried to "own" me on the way to Micro-Center. When he eventually arrived at the next red-light he rolled down the window and yelled "That's only good for 0-60". I yelled back "You keep thinking that and you'll keep getting surprised".

    Parking rant

Good place for EVs in general. A Cadillac Optiq followed me in and parked even further away. There were two or three Teslas there. Surprised nobody commented on the Silverado EV that's there in the mix.

    Parking rant

For me it's usually other EVs. A few days ago I went to the gym. Couple hours later I came out and there were 3 Teslas and a Lyriq parked nearby. I do the same sometimes. If there's other EVs I park near them. I assume we all have a similar respect for each other's vehicles. Likewise when I'm...

Agreed. But it's still like the guy who gets on the 3/4 empty bus and sits down right next to you.

    Parking rant

<engage “get off my lawn” voice> So, as I usually do, I park AIR0GNT at a distant parking spot in order to avoid careless door dings and the such. So why does this have to happen? In addition to all the spots next to the truck, there’s a couple dozen empty spaces behind where I stood to take...

    Gravity vs Air

True, but pull through stalls, like practically every gas station in the western hemisphere, make pulling away easy in either direction.

    Gravity vs Air

NACS yes, rear left corner not so much. The only reason location is ever important is because of Tesla's insistence on early chargers to deploy very short cords. For V3 and V4 units the cords are long enough to accommodate other locations. Also, EA, EVGo, iONNA, and Walmart have cords for both...

    Gravity vs Air

Just wondering if your '22 Air GT has the CCCv2 upgrade. I have ridden in but not driven Gravity so I don't have a comparison. The blind zone cameras on my CCCv2 '23 Air GT seem to appear very quickly. To the point that I don't really think about it. Maybe that's one of the improvements that...

    Ionna rocks

I've had mostly good experiences with EA. The biggest issues that I can recall is that in really cold weather (single digit F) they charge REALLY slow. I'm talking 30 - 60 kW. But I've not tried other DCFC in the same conditions so I don't have a point of comparison. We'll see what this upcoming...

Lucid Air GT falling under $40k

Both of these things are true. This one may be more tempting due to the lower miles, but the specter of out of warranty repairs is non-trivial.

    FUTURE LUCID SPORTS CAR?

I am definitely a sports car guy. Just sold this one a few days ago. The most fun to drive of all my cars, but I'm running out of space for toys. I'd been keeping this parked in my neighbor's garage the last few years.
