Costco with AE charging station $0.61/kWhr

That's some pretty bad luck. EA is still not as dependable as SCs or Ionna, but it's improved greatly. I'd say I'm running about 80-90% on first attempts now. I guess after 6 years of dealing with EA, moving over to the next one was just so common that I don't even think much about it anymore...

Costco with AE charging station $0.61/kWhr

Yep, these chargers are owned by Costco, not EA, so Costco sets the rates (and gets any revenue generated), so the EA membership doesn't apply. Agree that some cheaper low power chargers would be a better fit for this type of application.

Costco with AE charging station $0.61/kWhr

The EA price with subscription is usually in the $0.40's too. And it's a cheaper subscription than Tesla's. The one that's really high is usually Pilot Flying J. Typically around $0.70. 🥺

Costco with AE charging station $0.61/kWhr

Exactly. The average gas pump can do 20 sales per hour when busy (and Costco gas stations usually are). That's a revenue capacity of around $600/hr. The average DCFC can do about 2 sales per hour. 1/10th the revenue capacity per unit. And as you say, unlike gas, most customers refuel their EV...

    * SOME stores, lest anyone think all Costcos will now have chargers.

    Sneak peek at Gravity 3.6.4

Sad that that needs to be confirmed, but it does. ;)

    Sneak peek at Gravity 3.6.4

The last one also started being reported received by some here on a Thursday, and I got it the following Monday night, so I'm guessing this will be similar. (Not counting when Kyle tweeted about it, as I assume he got special treatment.)

    Sneak peek at Gravity 3.6.4

Could be that too, but they also keep trying to apply fob "improvements" (fixes), which is basically acknowledging there's still problems. Release notes per Kyle's post (although I'd be curious to see if there's more than just what's on that screen)...

    Sneak peek at Gravity 3.6.4

Haven't gotten it yet. Didn't even know it was out till I saw this thread. 😄 I Googled it and it listed fob fix (yet again). The number of fob fix attempts is getting almost comical at this point.

Another software update, another attempt to fix the fob performance?

    Monterey Car Week Trip

That's the #1 reason I got a Gravity. 80% of our miles are road trips (2000+ miles each, 6-7 a year). It's the closest to an ICE road trip experience you can get in an EV, with the long range and fast charging. Denver-Vegas (785 miles) was 2 gas stops in ICE. It's 3 DCFCs in the Gravity...

    Wall charger placement?

Ah, you mean same day, not the next day. That's not one I'd have ever thought of... getting home from a long day of driving on a road trip, plugging in for an hour and then heading out immediately to do another 50 miles in the same vehicle. Once we get home home from a long drive day, we're...

Gravity UX 3.6.3 is rolling out

2 month service?? Yikes. Living with some annoying gremlins (as long as they're mostly benign like these are) is better than losing 2 month of use of the car. Owning a Lucid is an exercise in compromise (ironic considering their tag line).

    Wall charger placement?

Oh yeah, I know there's fringe exceptions where someone might need a super-fast home charge (80A). Some people live hours from a DCFC station, or drive 200+ miles a day, etc. Although I'd guess that's very rare. We have 2 EVs as well, and road trip a lot where we arrive home from a trip at...

    Wall charger placement?

I did some of that at first but then settled into a pattern of just plugging in at home when I fall below 50%. (Which is usually only once a week, since we're retired.) One wishlist item I'd like is the ability to set a chime reminder when exiting the car to plug in if below a set %.

    Wall charger placement?

300+ miles is a lot of running errands in one day! I'm surprised it would need top-ups during the day as well, even with alternating overnights on the charger.

Gravity UX 3.6.3 is rolling out

Even with 3.6.3, still some of the old gremlins. My driver profile decides not to load maybe 1 in 20 drives. Comes up as Guest, and I can't find a way to change it to my profile (other than a reboot, or letting the car go to sleep and coming back later). The weird quirk where the touchpad...

Gravity UX 3.6.3 is rolling out

Because even though it's annoying to just stand there for 5-20 seconds at times, it still opens timely much of the time. And it's still easier & faster to just stand there for a handful of seconds than to open my phone, open the app, and unlock it that way. Same way with pulling my wallet out...

Gravity UX 3.6.3 is rolling out

When we get home from this 2-week road trip, I'm gonna send an email to Customer Care and see if they'll replace it. That was the plan if it didn't stay greatly improved through the trip. Since I got 3.6.3 just days before our trip, I also replaced the fob battery (again) at the same time. I...
