    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Tahoe is my preferred interior. Originally I thought Yosemite, but now Tahoe is it.

Is the 2027 MY Gravity being delivered yet?

There are currently 6 "available now" 2027 GGTs on the inventory site in Northern California. The last time I looked there were three, and I pretty sure that at least one of the three I saw previously doesn't show up anymore, so it seems highly likely that they're being sold to people.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I just brought up the inventory page, and have no problem selecting the Gravity toggle. Chrome on an Apple laptop.

Gravity HUD Position and Clarity Questions

Any indication as to whether the replacement HUD is a different iteration of the hardware, or just a functioning version of the initial hardware module?

Is the 2027 MY Gravity being delivered yet?

My assumption is that there's not much observable difference between a 2026 and 2027 Gravity. Doubtless the 2027 has a bunch of little hardware component improvements to fix problems that turned up in the 2026. But it's also likely that recently produced 2026 Gravities have most if not all of...

Lucid (allegedely) hires AlixPartners as part of restructuring.

Personally, I find it concerning that they're hiring a consultancy firm like AlixPartners. Although I've never worked with that particular firm, I found that generally the modern consultancy industry is filled with companies that hire young MBAs who have mastered buzz words but know little of...

Is the 2027 MY Gravity being delivered yet?

Yes, but can you spot the difference between a 2026 and a 2027 when looking at the drone footage? Without being able to spot the difference between a 2026 and a 2027 in the drone footage, I'm not sure a fresh flyover really addresses the question. Oddly, while I do see a flow of 2027's coming...

Is the 2027 MY Gravity being delivered yet?

I have been looking at the Lucid inventory page, with filters for my preferred configuration. I have see a fair number of 2027 GGTs appear, and then disappear after some time. Hard to say for sure if they're disappearing because people are buying them. But right at this moment I see two 2027...

    Is Lucid styling the problem?

Neither PaaK nor fobs are all the same technology under the hood. Early fob protocols did have known security issues, but as far as I'm aware the Gravity is using the latest-and-greatest protocol for the fob, and no commercially available vehicle has anything more secure. PaaK for Gravity is...

    Is Lucid styling the problem?

Lucid's decision to prioritize changing speed while driving over hot-off-the-line launch acceleration was a great choice! Not that launch acceleration is a problem in anything other than head-to-head competitions.

21,000-Mile Review: Living with the Lucid Air Sapphire

I know that they've probably got other things on their mind over at Lucid engineering, but this review renews my hope that they decide to build a Sapphire Gravity, or at least a Cosmos.

    Spare tire

I think someone in an earlier Gravity thread said that there was an aftermarket Gravity spare available that fits in the frunk. Personally, I'd rather sacrifice frunk space than to store the tire as pictured in the photo here.

    Is Lucid styling the problem?

Okay, but that assumes that they under invested in software, and that they could have saved enough money from doing slightly less good engineering elsewhere in order to properly fund the software development effort. My impression is that the software development org wasn't well managed, not...

    Goodbye Lucid

People do seem to love the ID Buzz though. For me, the range is a show stopper, so I've never bothered to test drive one.

Gravity-Adding Crossbars and then Shower Tent/Awning

What's the head height when standing under the deployed awning? I've never considered doing something like that because I just assumed the head clearance would be annoyingly low. My wife would probably be fine with it, she's 10" shorter than me.

    Is Lucid styling the problem?

It was just a concept vehicle, which is something manufacturers rarely convert into a vehicle you can buy. No idea why that is.

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

I've had smart locks fail on me, and always want a backup plan. Most recently was just last month, where you could hear the motor running to pull back the deadbolt, but nothing moved. The key and internal manual knob both continued to work fine. My home has only one door at ground level, so a...

Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

I get the point of PAAK. And the point of a fob (my personal preference). It's the key card I don't understand. Designing a system where you need a key card as a backup seems like just an incredibly bizarre design to me. I know there's been talk about the fob having a key card built in that...

Lucid Gravity Nuro sighting in Houston

No way to tell if a test driver is driving or if the car is driving. But the problem with the modern big-data approach to training autonomous driving AI is that there's probably a huge amount of terrible human driving included in your training data. Ideally you'd go through all the training...
