    4 Airs and 3 Gravitys

I see Airs and Gravitys in Tahoe City regularly these days, presumably people driving up here for a short holiday. But rarely more than 2 in a day.

Near as I can tell, Lucid isn’t really working on autonomy. They're focused on building the vehicle platform, and hoping someone else can get the software side working. Personally, I think that's very sensible. They're need to get the basics right before they tackle something like in-house...

    [email protected] NOT RESPONDING

I also prefer to send an email. But it's well documented here that emailing Lucid is a waste of time, and calling them is better, even with all the problems they have answering the phone. Anyone who insists on sending them an email is tilting at windmills. Shouldn't be that way, but you're...

New Owner, Lucid Gravity GT 2026

Why turn off regen? Does that provide better handling or grip in snow?

Lol, there should have been a *NOT* in there!

Alex On Autos Reviews the Lucid Gravity Touring

Talk about the way to appeal to the family market: I love how he describes the frunk as making a good diaper changing station. That had never occurred to me as a potential use before. Not that I'm eager to be changing diapers at this point!

    Massage seats turning off

I know for sure that most non-vehicle massage chairs have motors that are designed to run for only about 30 minutes continuously before needing a rest. Some chairs enforce that, but plenty of models let you over-work them, and that's a common reason massage chairs end up needing a repair. My...

What could cause this rear undercarriage piece to break?

Wouldn't a Lucid approved shop have familiarity with Lucid's process, and perhaps access to some number of non-public documents?

    Service

I've been hanging out here, evaluating whether I want to buy a Gravity. Frankly, the only reason I'm planning to move forward with that is because my closest service center is Rocklin, and multiple owners have posted that they don't seem to be overwhelmed. If I was going to be near one of the...

Turns out there is quite a bit of inventory that the SAs can see that we cannot see on the inventory page. If you filter for "any distance" and "available in 3+ weeks", zero Gravities are found, but the SAs can see vehicles 3 and 4 weeks out.

No, it's not all the same. Tesla has had to upgrade their hardware multiple times as they repeatedly discovered that it wasn't capable enough to run the steadily more computationally intensive software of newer FSD software releases. If you don't have HW4, they can't give you the best version...

"Better driver" probably has 5 different definitions if you ask 5 different people what it means. But from a simple crash frequency perspective, it's really not possible for an individual to evaluate whether FSD is as good as a human driver. That's because humans have a fatal crash for every...

[South Bay] 2026 Gravity Delivery & Wrapped Matt White

Looks great! How about a pic from the side as well? And if you don't mind sharing, which shop did you take it to, and what did they charge?

And yet i cannot find a Gravity with a config I like on their inventory page. Part of the problem is that I want only 5 seats, and they've obviously built more 7 seaters. But I wonder if they're not listing all the vehicles they actually have. I guess I'll have to ask an SA.

Zack from JerryRigEverything gets Gravity for his wife

My sister uses a powered chair, it weighs about 70 lbs. The low lift into the back is a big part of the Gravity's appeal to me.

Anyone ever had their child hurt by the 2nd row of a vehicle?

I suspect that the engineers at Lucid would admit (in private) that the 2nd row seat design isn't great. And not just the release and lifting back process. The sliding tracks in the floor seem poorly thought through as well. But I don't think it's realistic to expect Lucid to come out and...

    Sneak peek at Gravity 3.6.4

Not sure what you're referring to: every Gravity OTA has improved robustness.

    Software wish list

I think a good implementation is still possible. If the person is continuously moving, don't open. If they walk to the back of the car and then stop, open. My truck works this way for the side doors.

    Kim Java - Preview Gravity?

I really don't see the number of screens making a big difference either way on how hard it is to have polished feeling software. The main impact is that the user interface design is more complicated if you want to give people an intuitive way to arrange the UI elements across different screens...
