    Robotaxis prediction

It seems a bit premature to predict that Nvidia will be the clear winner. While they obviously have aspirations for autonomous driving, they really haven't demonstrated much actual success in that field. They're certainly a company with the deep pockets needed to invest in autonomous driving...

Getting close to leasing a Gravity

Are you able to hit that percentage with a luxury EV from anyone else? Given the depreciation that $100K+ EVs see, your 52% calculation doesn't at all surprise me. If I could lay hands on a low milage 3 year old GGT, I'd jump at the chance to save a huge amount of money! But alas, that wont...

    Tested My 2026 Lucid Gravity GT From 100% to 3% Over 9½ Days — 327.8 Miles Driven, 3.23 mi/kWh

I do expect a fair bit of power to be lost as heat during charging. But I can't say that I have any idea what would be a normal percentage, not for EVs in general, nor for the Gravity specifically. It would be interesting to see others report data for Gravity charging efficiency, but I...

    Smashed rear windscreen

No, but there are a lot of 75+ ft tall trees here around Lake Tahoe!

    Tested My 2026 Lucid Gravity GT From 100% to 3% Over 9½ Days — 327.8 Miles Driven, 3.23 mi/kWh

I believe we have multiple reports of people driving their GGT to 0% battery and that consuming 115 kWh, which explains why OOS was able to go so far after hitting 0%. As for the R1S Conserve mode: Lucid hasn't created a similar mode. I imagine they could if they wanted to.

    Smashed rear windscreen

I've had a pine cone fall and hit my car. They’re light weight once they've opened up, but fresh out of a tree they're solid like a brick. And they fall from high enough to build up a lot of kinetic energy. These days I try really hard to not park under a tree that could drop one. A pine...

WINDSHIELD REFLECTIONS ( Dash & HUD)

My perspective is that Lucid employees seem to have their heart in the right place, but they also seem to lack any functioning methodical process to make caring for customers more than just an individual effort by single employees. Falling through the cracks thus seems to be occurring...

Unveiling the Tesla Roadster - 10-15-26 Livestream starts at 5:45 pm PST

I'd much rather have an Air Sapphire. It's a practical car that can actually be driven down the road, while still delivering more performance than I'll probably evem learn to properly handle. And I predict it'll turn out to be much more affordable to purchase.

WINDSHIELD REFLECTIONS ( Dash & HUD)

Unfortunately, being willing to acknowledge problems is not something that corporate America is good at, certainly not the auto industry. It's not a Lucid specific problem at all. I suppose it's somewhat understandable. The huge development costs of a vehicle mean that they're very reluctant...

    Stock Momentum

I agree. Starting manufacturing a vehicle is hard enough when you have the established industrial base for such things. The Saudi's aren't just trying to get Lucid to build vehicles in the country, they're trying to kickstart the full industrial base, including a big fraction of the supplier...

    Stock Momentum

No. It's small potatoes if you want to inflict economic damage on the Saudis.

    Stock Momentum

Well, one should understand the various motivations that investment banks have. Those motivations sometimes (but not always) motivate them to distribute highly biased analysis. It got so egregious during the dot-com bubble that the feds enacted some pretty strong reforms. Some of which have...

ID help; rubber bushing on the driveway after washing the Gravity

Stupid question, but are you washing the vehicle with the frunk open? Or is the stop coming out when washing the car with the frunk closed? I guess it never occurred to me that one would wash the car with the frunk open, but I guess that's actually totally fine to do with the Gravity?

Out of Spec roadtrips Gravity and DDP2 has some issues

I suspect that the majority of us would be perfectly happy if the mods just started deleting Tesla posts that aren't in a Tesla thread. But I do respect the amount of work you all already do, and it's understandable if you collectively don't want to go down that road. But at least consider...

Out of Spec roadtrips Gravity and DDP2 has some issues

To me, I'm not that interested in autonomous driving tech until it's so good that it doesn't need supervision. And I think that autonomous driving that works 99.99% of the time is worse than a system that works 99% of the time. The 99% system fails frequently enough that the driver is likely...

WINDSHIELD REFLECTIONS ( Dash & HUD)

Initially I was very enthusiastic about the HUD, and the promise of the AR features that would come. But now that it's clear that the HUD suffers from a double whammy of hardware design flaws and a software team struggling to fulfill the promises Lucid has made, I'm ordering a car without it...

    Repair question

That seems understandable (but extremely annoying) for a random repair shop. But when a mechanic has received Lucid training and their stamp of approval? It rises to the infuriating.

    Gravity Audio Mods?

This don't know details of Lucid's design, but I wouldn't expect that the 12V system is normally powered from the 12V battery. Rather, I'd expect there to be a DC-to-DC converter powered by the high voltage battery, and you'd only be drawing power from the 12V battery in less common situations...

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

I'm pretty sure PAAK will communicate with the car the same way the fob does, so there's not much reason to believe that PAAK will be more reliable than a fob. It avoids bugs specific to the software and hardware in the fob itself, but also opens up the chance of bugs unique to the PAAK...

Update regarding Phone as a Key availability for Gravity owners

I think it's fair to critique auto companies for bulky fobs. The fob for my Toyota Highland is extremely compact, includes an NFC backup, and I see little reason why manufacturers make fobs any bigger. I appreciate a compact fob, and was a bit mystified when some here started talking about...
