@hwy17er can you provide the link to your post about car camping and locking?
I've car camped once. When I needed to exit overnight, I unlocked with the app and the lights came on.
I'd like to avoid that.
I tried what you suggested about how to avoid the lights, but it didn't work.
I'll respond...
Also, I'm not questioning the integrity of the OP, but the car locking itself within 60 seconds is definitely nothing like my ownership experience.
I use the app the majority of the time now, but even when I was using the fob or key card, the car didn't lock itself until after 10 minutes. I...
I like the idea of a beep, but you know that's going to result in posts such as:
I keep trying to lock my car, but it keeps beeping. Cause: Owner using the app, didn't know they had left key card or fob in car.
I hate the loud beep when I try to lock my car sometimes. Cause: item #1 and...
IMO it's not a case of crucifying a person.
It's about shared responsibility as an adult (which your post addresses) and learning the car as an owner.
The "this needs to be fixed" attitude comes off as saying the owner did everything they could have done to avoid the situation, which we know...
@77sarbear I owe you an apology about my last post in response to your experience.
In my last post I suggested you could have just pressed the door handle.
I forgot that you had mentioned trying that method to open the door, in your original post.
My mistake.
If the card was in your phone case in the car and you have the app running on your phone, as stated by another member, pressing the door handle would have opened the door. Much more helpful than "email Lucid". They'd probably tell you the same. Just my opinion. Learning opportunity.
I am doing my best to try to understand a decision to leave a car unlocked with the phone and all other means of unlocking it, inside.
Other than in my house, I can't think of many places where I don't have my phone on me. It's a life line ... for me. YMMV.
Stuff happens. It's called life. Life...
So going back to your original question, I would just continue pushing the button to release the cable versus a service appointment. Especially considering the possible wait time for an appointment and it could be, for whatever reason, this is how your car functions. Service may say the same...
I've never had to press that button in any charging situation.
I unlock the door(s) and I'm able to remove the charging cable.
If the doors are already unlocked, I'm able to remove the charging cable.
The updated rear climate behavior now better recognizes when I have a grandchild in a car seat/booster seat secured with a seat belt on the second row.
Previously, the seat sensors did not recognize the lighter weight of some of my grandchildren.
Also, because the power state is remembered...
His loaner already has 700 miles on it. Lucid told him to order the car how he wanted it, then it would go to a few other media outlets, and then he could hold on to the car, which is what he's doing now. So other media outlets had this car short term.
Hopefully some of those other outlets...
I'm thinking you have auto-lock turned off, which is an obvious solution.
With auto-lock off, aside from having the fob in your pocket and somehow the lock button is pressed, this sounds like a service issue.
Any issue, major or minor, relative to all of the current and past owner issues, is still an issue to an owner.
One owner's major issue is another owner's minor issue.
I hope you find a solution that will add to your ownership experience.
This will always be the case.
I saw an online post from an owner saying the sound the car makes when the frunk or trunk opens is too loud and a volume control is needed.
Another one about some of the chrome trim in the interior is too bright. I suppose that depends on the time of day.

Happens to me when I'm backing out of my steep driveway.
Braking alert occurs when the street is sensed as an obstacle.
I allow the braking and then proceed on.
No additional alert until next time.
I understand what's happening and why.
Not a problem for me.
