    The Long Goodbye

I have no issues with non-generative AI. However, the generative AI has significant issues. I have personally watched it forced onto developers who then completely outsource their critical thinking. Even for things that are supposed to be "trivial" like building a website, a plethora of errors...

    The Long Goodbye

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but if using agentic AI slop is their answer to stronger quality controls, everyone is in for a rough ride. This is only on one job posting. However, AI slop is the absolute worst case scenario for a car handling systems that must work every time without...

An Air UX 3.x Question for you Software Pros...

The odds of an initial launch not having a swath of bugs revealed and perhaps even halting a rollout is very low. Speaking from experience, you can test and test and test until you think you've tested everything that can be tested. Then you launch or release a major version for customers to...

Switch to Lucid with up to $7000 in Conquest and Trade-in Offers

Drove a Model 3 Performance at a Mercedes electric event. Besides the interior and door handle shenanigans, the let off at 60mph by both the EQS and Model 3 were a huge turnoff. The front end also lifted under hard acceleration giving it a feeling of floating above the payment. Final nail in...

Air Grand Touring Performance reliability question

Once fixed, issues tend to stay fixed. There have been a handful with a number being addressed next week as we creep towards 40k miles.

Lucid Air speed limit display switched to European style

It went away eventually on its own. Resets did not help.

2023 Lucid Air Grand Touring Salvage – Charging, Reverse & Brake Light Issues

Buying a luxury sedan with a salvage title seems like a gamble. You potentially save a tremendous amount of money, but you equally risk being in your current situation. The same goes for the original poster's request for help. These are cars almost entirely electronic given they are electric...

What to Expect: Repair and Labor Costs After Warranty

I remember this place. Had to ask twice to be sure. They use the small building, but they get access to the equipment in the bigger building. The owner is a great person to chat with.

Lucid Air Achieves Longest Range at NAF Winter Test 2026

New model years have a new heat pump and different battery chemistry to handle colder temperatures better.

2023 Lucid Air Grand Touring Salvage – Charging, Reverse & Brake Light Issues

Someone from Ukraine posted something along these lines a few years back in the middle of the ongoing war... The cost of certification and tooling is extremely expensive for small shops. However, Lucid will likely require that route to provide any support on repairs. As others have stated...

2026 Air GT Owner--am I the only person who only received one fob?

Can't comment on if it is the new norm, but you can call and ask a Service Center. Fobs are stupid expensive. Better to sort it out sooner rather than later.

Tesla charging subscription with Gravity experience?

A counter example. I tried three times to initiate a charge with the EA app for the Air. All three times the car overrode the selection with its own payment. In the past, it send to be a coin toss. I've tried initiating before plugging in and plugging in first with neither being reliable of...

    Cross Bar installation

Good grief. I would return those. They absolutely will damage your car. It astounds me the first two Gravity demo cars can have a decent rubber material, but we still get flimsy foam nonsense.

What to Expect: Repair and Labor Costs After Warranty

I called two places to determine what the cost would be for an extended warranty. Endurance will not service a Lucid. CarShield offered unlimited miles, fixed price, and no term limit at $159.99 a month for their Platinum plan. Have not called anywhere else, but given the labor costs...

    2.8.17 update

Chicken and egg problem. Software engineering is highly specialized with a ton of technical jargon. Software engineering lives almost entirely in the world of abstract and intangible beyond the touch points where a user interacts. Even "experts" can be experts technically without any grasp of...

Anyone know if Lucid will start selling the 2026 19" wheels?

Response from Customer Service was contact your local Service Center. My local service center never called back, so the answer is still up in the air. I suspect that you may be able to and that the store is not updated (or Lucid wants it funneled through the service centers rather than corporate).

I plan on reaching out tomorrow to find out the answer. A service center should know.

    Generous Trade-In Credit

The 22'-23' year models got the metaphorical shaft precisely for the reasons listed here. While it is too early to determine the depreciation on the 24' and newer years, these seem to have slowed down relatively for depreciation. The Sapphire seems to be the only model immune to the same...
