Air stopped charging in the middle of a session

The Lucid charger part has gone bad. The red flashes tell what kind of error it is in the manual. You will likely need a replacement.

For Science!! - Rich Rebuilds rescue an Air

Regardless of who is at fault for totaling cars unnecessarily, Rich is doing good work. PR stunt, selfish reasons, or otherwise, I prefer a world where there is more transparency and repair of cars that are genuinely road worthy. I look forward to watching the new videos and seeing where...

Vote to bring back old seat belt logo cos new one sucks horribly

Cleaner and easily determined who hasn't buckled in a glance. There is no room for guesswork.

    Gravity DE Arbitration Victory

I've had the opportunity to own two Lucid Airs. Both almost certainly guaranteed to be one of the first 1,000 to 1,500 off the manufacturing line. As an early owner, I expected issues. We certainly had our share: bricked car post-update before trip, battery replacements, drive unit...

    New CTO

If you take a look at his LinkedIn profile, there's plenty there that speaks technical vs. just non-technical manager. There's only so much information you can derive from his profile. On the surface, he appears to at least have the correct background for the task at hand. The project leads...

    Lane Change Flashes too short?

I was thinking of the short vs long activation. That does not change the number of blinks.

    Lane Change Flashes too short?

I'm pretty there's a setting in the DreamDrive settings to adjust the duration. Not in the car to check, but it is worth to take a look.

    Updated to 2.10.0..car dead

We had this happen to our 22 GT. During the update, one of the gates stayed open or closed (can't remember which). This switch/gate required jumping the car to get the systems to toggle it back to the correct state. Could be the same situation as you, or maybe it is different. Given jumping...

    Air software version 2.10.0

The new graphic is growing on me. I actually like it better than the other one. Seats are nice and all, but the minimal display is so nice to quickly pinpoint who isn't buckled.

2026 Air Gran Touring Demo Drive

They used to get pinged home every time a loaner peaked over 100mph. Some of us may or may not have driven the loaners like our own cars that caused a flurry of pings to the mothership on some mountain roads and back roads in the countryside. It is probably for the best.

Police didn’t like the Arizona temporary tags

This is a side effect of the direct sales process. They did the paperwork in Arizona, and I then had to handle taxes and what not the first time I purchased. The second purchase they had systems in place for Alabama, and taxes were included in the purchase price. I believe my temporary tags...

    Is Lucid nerfing power output?

GT-P is essentially the same car as the DE rather than the other way around. The batteries are the same as well as the physical modifications to the motors for controlling speed. Something with higher torque being unable to modulate speed as efficiently because the on and off states are larger...

Thinking about buying a used Air, how can I tell how the previous owner charged it?

You know you could just ask the person you are buying from at this point. 76 miles / .18 battery percentage = 422 of 446 rated miles. Matches the battery health value exactly from the testmycode.cc.

Thinking about buying a used Air, how can I tell how the previous owner charged it?

I don't charge to 100% hardly ever, so I couldn't tell you. I'm running GT-P 21s without the wheel covers and missing rubber wheel diffusers. More often than not, the car is loaded down with four people and luggage since we are digital nomads. There's enough range that I don't ever have to...

Thinking about buying a used Air, how can I tell how the previous owner charged it?

94% of original battery health at 49k miles over 2.5 years (eg. 6% degradation). My guess is time has a far greater impact until you hit the 8% degradation mark where most of the cars are flattening out to. The website doesn't have a graph for time, but the wide spread would likely tighten up...

Sneak Peek of Lucid's DECLARATION OF PERFORMANCE - America 250 Campaign

Thinking about buying a used Air, how can I tell how the previous owner charged it?

6% degradation reported on my 22 GT-P. Driven hard, 500-600+ mile trips in a single day, and primarily DC fast charged. These batteries are solid. The ones that aren't Lucid replaces, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Sneak Peek of Lucid's DECLARATION OF PERFORMANCE - America 250 Campaign

Posted it on LinkedIn. Only social media I have, so it'll have to do. The ad is a move in the right direction, like the one from almost a year back with heavy American themes.

Ownership has started out a little rough

Atlanta service center is fantastic in my experience. They make things work, and the new center is a huge boon. You have a 2023 model, and with so few miles, you are likely to encounter a few rough edges initially. Most of mine came and were fully resolved by 30k miles for a GT and GT-P that...

    Thinking of Jumping back in

We have traveled extensively through the southeast with no issues. From the Appalachian mountains to the Forgotten Coast (panhandle Florida) to everything in between and around has resulted in zero issues for charging. The only time that it is inconvenient is when an Airbnb does not have a...
