No, you are getting a GT. steveinarizona is getting a Pure which currently only comes with Purluxe. As long as you get the perforated leather, you will get cooling seats in Touring and above. Of course, this was just 1 associate telling me this - another associate may have a different answer or they may have a different answer 6 months from now.

Derek, in an interview, indicated there is an upgrade path planned where they are going to add features they couldn't get into the car at launch.

Good to know.. I was not told this during my appointment, will probably upgrade to Touring then

Are you still waiting on delivery then? Did you get any details from them on the nature of these errors? I would assume they found this out as they were doing the final inspection or updating the software, but depending on severity I could be surprised that they're still turning up this late in the game.

No, they are being mum on any and all details around it. They didn’t have an update when I called today either, but are promising one by this time tomorrow.

I have a suspicion I won’t be getting my car for a while at this point. It’s frustrating since it’s at Millbrae! I also would like them to just tell me what is erroring, that would help to know also.

A test drive in hot weather would be a good idea for me. I have ventilated seats in my current BMW 530e and they don't do much. What does help a lot is using the phone app to turn on the AC which then runs off the batteries.

Isn’t it amazing what we can’t live without as opposed to say 25 years ago? My 1972 BMW 2002 Tii had no AC , no automatic but was a blast to drive. Nowadays I must have AC, heated /ventilated seats and heated steering wheel, glass roof, AWD, auto locks, sirus radio and all the other standard creature comforts found on a modern upper end automobile

Heck, I have had my M5 for seven years and just figured out four months ago that I had a heated steering wheel. I think I knew it once upon a time, but I have never really felt the need to have it, look for it or use it.

I still don't understand how Bear can give numbers of new vs shipped out. We know the cars get moved around. They're all wrapped and look the same from 1000 ft up too. Consider me suspicious of it all.

I suppose he's depending on the idea that if moved around they're unlikely to be reparked in exactly the same positions with respect to the parking lot lines and to each other. But yes, it does seem to be a tricky business.

Agreed. However the count on Wednesday was 131 and 115 today. So at least 16 cars left the lot, must likely going to customers.

I believe he has no clue how many cars are shipping. He’s not there 24/7. IMO It’s all clickbait to generate viewers to his YouTube videos. I think it tells you nothing definitive. There’s more definitive facts here as to how many cars are getting out there and how far along we are the DE deliveries.

At best his videos confirm there’s over 150 or more DEs to ship. And you can’t even assume that the wrapped cars are completely done and awaiting shipment. They could go back inside for final fit and finish parts.

The cars go from the factory in Casa Grande to various service centers across the US. They sit there and get tested and potentially wait for whatever component has been missing.

Agreed. The only value they bring is to see the lot actually filling up with cars rather than just remain empty. Will probably also tell when the AGT's are coming as you'll see the different rims. He'd need to be stationed at the plant 24/7 to see what's moving around, being delivered etc.

Everyone should like and subscribe though so he can get a better drone
