Question to the lucid owners. Are you guys seeing vampire drain on Lucid? I recently got a Tesla 3 which looses 10-20 miles each day doing nothing. I hope it’s not a problem on Lucid.

It's gotten better but is highly dependent on the weather your car is in. So typically you will only see a 1-2 mile drain overnight.

That’s so much better, I don’t have a home charger now and these drains really hurting range.

Do you have sentry mode on? My MS would only lose 1-2 miles. If you have it on, make sure you set it to not be active at home.

I am seeing about the same, 1-2 miles per day. BTW, the AMG EQS doesn't seem to lose any capacity just sitting.

Funny thing, my 2019 Jaguar I Pace loses nearly nothing. In fact, it was at the repair shop once for five weeks waiting for a part and it only lost 2 miles. I wonder why some cars are worse than others.

Yea, the Lucid should really not be draining anything because it has 2 12V which are supposed to power the systems for lock/unlock, UI, Etc so...can't say. BUT, in perfect conditions, garaged, 70-80 degree weather, my DE only lost 3 miles over 7 days. Still something, but I bet the BMS fans are kicking on for some of us more often which will drain the high voltage pack.

Does the iPace have a start button? The EQS does so very few systems are powered up until you open the door and press start.

My I pace also doesn’t loose any charge really. It has a deep sleep mode that it goes into after 4 days to conserve battery if it isn’t used. So that help for long stays. But even even when it’s just sitting there for a couple of night it doesn’t loose charge. No matter how often I check the app or walk by it.

I think 1-2 miles is reasonable. If it was significantly more than that I would consider it a fault.

I know the GT lost charge just sitting in my garage every day. I will have to recod how much but definitely more than 2 miles. Hope to have it back Wednesday

Yes it does. I noticed that the Bluetooth power on when I get in the car but the car is otherwise off. I can tell the Bluetooth turns on bc my phone connects… but the car is off.

Then when you press power everything comes on.

Things do start happening before pressing the power button. Boot up sequence is faster if I unlock then take my sweet time before pressing the power button.

My BMW i4 loses nothing during several days of sitting idle in the garage. My now departed 2017 MS was a different story. It lost several miles a day and on a few occasions lost as many as 10 miles just sitting in the garage.

Just to close the thread, turing off sentry mode at home and office stopped the drain. Thanks for the suggestions.

Good to know. I think Lucid’s drain has to do with Bluetooth. I turned off its WiFi, it seems a bit better. I think maybe other legacy company’s EVs unlike Tesla, Lucid and Rivian has OTA Update and by sending info to server (I know I share data and don’t mind privacy) which has to be somewhat making it not possible to be fully asleep.

Hey all - just got my car yesterday. The weather was in 35-45 and it lost 12 miles overnight. It’s parked outside. I may have wake car up twice by passing infront it. Is that normal ?

I live in New England and the park my Touring in the garage when I'm not using it. The garage isn't heated but it's warmer than outside. During the winter, I would say I would probably lose 8 - 10 miles a day due to vampire drain. It did spend an evening outside overnight at the dealer and lost 18 miles in 6 hours. The temperature outside was in the high 20's that night.

So why do some Lucids have high phantom drain and others have almost none? 8-10 miles in an inside garage, even non-heated, seems excessive.

In normal temperatures, I lose a couple miles a day. When it was below zero I lost 10 to 15 miles in about eight hours. Seems totally temperature dependent.
