Am I the first to see this, or have I missed previous postings? At 8,500 points, the redemption cost is higher than the 7,600 points (plus tax) that I would have expected at the $0.125/point tax rate, but at least it's there. Thanks, Lucid!

BTW... It doesn't appear in the 'Lucid Air' section, but it does if you search on the word 'control'.

Thank you @marqie! Anyone know if I can gift this to someone? I have enough points and would like to gift it to a family member.

Looks like it's been pulled from the store. I purchased last night and put in a service inquiry a few hours ago.

My order history looks like this now

2644.webp

Yes. Very Interesting. The 'control' search no longer takes you to the CCCv2. Lucid must have pulled it after a few orders were entered.

Looks like that promise was only inadvertently/temporarily kept.

It will be interesting to know if the order fulfillment progresses for those people who entered one before the item was removed.

The forum has many members that have been waiting for the CCCv2 in the rewards store. After @Buffalo Bob post, I would not be surprised it Lucid was a bit overwhelmed with orders and pulled the offer to slow things down a bit. I hope that it comes back to the reward store.

I suspected this would happen, and placed my order as soon as I saw the post, which was several hours after @Buffalo Bob revealed its existence. I was even surprised that it was still available for purchase.

My shop just called. They said the part is showing on order for me and I'm scheduled for January.

While I would like to think that would be the case, I have several doubts about your theory....

One key point... On my initial post, I mentioned that the part did not actually appear under the Referral Store's 'Lucid Air' tab, but that I found it by searching the word 'control'. At the time, I hadn't looked to see that the part did not appear *anywhere* in the Referral Store. Why would that be the case? I can only surmise that I may have just stumbled on a placeholder of some sort that was established back in the days when Nick Twork at Lucid had announced that the part was going to be offered for purchase using referral points.

I see further evidence by the lack of any announcement or posting from anyone at Lucid about the appearance or subsequent disappearance of the part from the Referral Store. Historically, I have found that the places where Lucid chooses silence typically speak volumes.

Last, I highly doubt that all that many people, myself included, saw and acted on this information before it was pulled, and even if there were, it's common practice for the Referral Store to continue taking orders on out of stock items. Remember the long trunk/frunk liner delays?

I think I just stumbled on something that nobody at Lucid anticipated would see the light of day... At least not yet.

I may very well be wrong.

Of course, it will be easy for someone at Lucid to shed some light on this, either by letting us know what's going on, or by choosing not to.

The service rep said they had just been made aware of the redemption and saw my notes about being unsure how to redeem. She said the part shows it's on order for me and my DocuSign for the appointment indicates $750 part, $250 labor with notes of my referral order with a final total not including those $s.

Well, even if inadvertent, I would hope that any orders placed would be honored. And like I said, I hope I'm wrong.
