Feeling bummed to see couple of small curb rashes today, how to avoid them ?

Not easy. I use a combo of side cameras and setting the mirrors to tilt down when in Reverse

Remember when all cars had curb feelers before they started adding right hand mirrors? 🙂 They still sell them
There’s also the curb rash alert?

I'll be honest, if I were to get a Sapphire (used of course) at the end of my current lease, I'd be REALLY tempted to get some! It's so ridiculously easy to curb these wheels on the Air.

I have these on our Model Y. Vion wheel protectors. They just snap on around the wheel perimeter. And you can't even tell they are there.

If you think Air or Gravity wheels are easy to curb, Tesla says "hold my beer". The wheel rim edges sit proud of the tire sidewall.

We are on our 2nd set of these. Because the first set did their job. ;)

Sadly, they only make them for Tesla.

That's another "coming soon" software feature.
It is interesting that this feature has been available on Air for a few years but even though promised at launch, still has not come to Gravity. One major issue with Gravity is the horrible 360 overhead view in low light. It is particularly bad on the sides due to there being no side lighting. The decision to put the puddle lights on the bottom of door as opposed to under side view mirrors like other cars has hurt that side low light vision. My only curbing issue was trying to parallel park on a dark street. In dark conditions, I now error on parallel parking well away from the curb at risk of pissing off passing by cars.

One possible way to mitigate the poor side view in low light would be to use same tech as they do with the see through drive feature. Use the front and rear cameras (that have better lighting) to memorize a view of surroundings and give you a better representation of what is on the side as you pull in/back up to curb.

I really like the see through feature as I have a Race Deck tiled garage floor that has tire path markings to line up car on recommended parking spot.
