Do you have stealth? I'm not having this problem with the platinum 20" wheels on the Air.
 
Lucid sells paint pens for touching up chips, etc. It works great on the wheels!
 
I’d check with a wheel repair shop before replacing the rim. Curb rash can sometimes be repaired, depending on the finish and how serious the damage is. It may be worth getting a second opinion from a shop that has worked on Lucid wheels before making a decision.

I did check with a local place. They said what I stated above. I was just wondering if that was accurate or if anyone has other thoughts.

Yes, I forgot to mention. The stealth coloring is what's posting the biggest problem. Apparently, the color in the rims is NOT the exact same color on the body?

You could always have both wheels on the same side refinished. Though a single new wheel may not cost much more.

That would make sense in a perfect world but of course, the curb rash is on both rear wheels. It took some time to learn this car is wider than my previous. FML....
 
I honestly didn't know it was a real thing. Regardless, the speed at which I was going probably wouldn't have mattered. It happened as I was coming around a corner into a parking lot and scratched the curb.
 
The curb rash alert works but you need to turn it on or at least make sure it’s on
Wheels ain’t cheep esp bespoke wheels

Not really possible to say without seeing how bad it is or isn't. Pictures can help. I have had wheels on several cars repaired by a qualified tire and wheel specialist. You can also consider doing a complete refinish on your wheels. Powder coating can hide a number of sins and give you a new and unique appearance. Now, if the wheels are chipped or dented out of round that's a whole different ballgame.

Which wheels do you have, 19", or 20"? And which finish, platinum or stealth?

Dr. Wheel mobile repair can match it almost perfectly... They've matched my Gravity (stealth) twice and you can't even tell there was any damage previously...

I had them fix bad curb rash my 20" OEM wheels in platinum and they look perfect... I doubt stealth would be much more difficult.. Had my lease-end pre-inspection after the repairs and the guy said. "your wheels look like new".
