Interested in Previewing Future Lucid Air Software?

Unfortunately with such short notice and no virtual option to participate, 30 hours of driving each way (excluding charging and rest stops) isn’t realistic and flights alone are over $1000. Having a focus group of what will likely be all or mostly Bay Area owners doesn’t give Lucid a geographically diverse pool for feedback. What’s important in the Bay may differ from what the Midwest, South, and Eastern parts of the US find important or useful. Hopefully there will be ways for Lucid to gather input from more than Bay Area owners at some point.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that the timing of the announcement made travel difficult for customers outside the Bay Area. A number of factors affected when we were able to announce the event, but we will look for opportunities to provide more advance notice for future events so that interested customers have additional time to make travel arrangements, if necessary. We will also consider hosting similar events in other locations to make participation more accessible to our broader customer base.

We also want to clarify that this event is not intended to be a focus group. Rather, it is an opportunity for invited customers to get an early look at new software features that are under consideration for a future release and to interact directly with our software and UX teams in an informal setting.

If you ever run a similar program at the Casa Grande factory, let me know. I live 10 miles away.
As much as I would like to, California is not possible at this time.
(I just noticed this is for the Air. I have a Gravity, so above comments still apply for any Gravity programs)
Thank you, @Coyote. I think the Casa Grande location would be a great location. I will relay your feedback back to the team for consideration.

Thank you for your feedback. This event is intended to give an invited group of customers the chance to interact with members of our UX and software teams and to preview new software features that are under consideration for a future release. It is not intended to serve as a formal product announcement that would be more conducive to a livestream. We will certainly consider opportunities to host future events in locations that are more convenient for our broader customer base.
Thank you for this. I applied. Hope to get an invitation. Short drive down from Berkeley.

I understand, I would have loved to be part of that event. Looking forward to seeing UX 3.0 and all the other cool things Lucid is working on for the Lucid Air. Thanks for your response!

I appreciate the reply. I would love to get an early look at new software features as someone who designs and tests software as part of my work. Having a satellite/virtual option at the Chicago (Oak Brook) Studio (and others) would’ve made participation possible for me and likely others. Something to consider if this opportunity comes up again at some point.

Thank you, @Jwutt. That is a great suggestion. I can't promise anything this time around, but this gives us something to consider for next time.

Signed up not knowing what I’d actually do with a call back since I’m in SoCal. I guess in the spirit of things, I’ll drive up!

You won't be the first to have done that.

Geographic location won’t add much to preferences. Maybe some cold weather options up north, but it should be the same for most.

Hi, everyone,

We’re inviting current Lucid Air owners to express interest in participating in an upcoming software preview event.
  • Dates: September 17 and 18, 2026
  • Time: 8:30–11:30 a.m.
  • Location: Lucid Headquarters, Newark, California
During the event, we’ll preview potential new software upgrades and features, which may be released in a future OTA update. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with members of our Software, Product, and UX teams, learn more about what’s ahead, and share feedback.

Please complete the interest form to express interest in participating. This event is open exclusively to current Lucid Air owners. If selected, we will contact you with next steps. Space is limited, and submission of the form does not guarantee selection.

Participants are responsible for arranging and covering their own transportation to and from Lucid Headquarters.

Express your interest here:

As an AGT owner, I'd love to see this event. But the lead-time of the noncement is so short, hence it is impractical. It comes across as Lucid is trying to go on record before end of Q3'26 to show they are working on UX3 for the Air. I am sure most Air owners love to see that happen.

Aside from the demos, will Lucid communicate a release date for Air UX3?

Also, for those of us who can't come in person, will Lucid post a clip of the event highlights?

The event is scheduled for 3 hours. Posting video of the highlights would be welcomed by the Air owners who could not attend.

If Lucid doesn't have time to edit the video, just post it raw. Many of us are accustomed to watching 2+ hours Out-of-Spec videos! ;)

Anyone else wish this was available on zoom or some other way to at least view it happening live?
Based on what Marqie said earlier, this is very likely a closed session. I would expect all participants to be required to sign an NDA agreement, so the general public will not be getting much, if any, information in the short term. It sounds like several options will be shown/discussed and we already have enough wild rumors going around without adding more fuel to the fire.
I have been involved in similar sessions in another industry and this is how they usually go.

Ok then someone please cover the following
Old eyes from looking at screens for decades need readable fonts, San serif please no fancy fonts
No F’ing white fo t on a yellow background, Contrast folks contrast
An analog gauge is faster to interpret than a digital, yes NASA researched and investigated
If it’s important to the driver then it must be front and center, clear as to what it represents and easily visible in all lights
Oh I’m not but a large number are color blind so make certain that UI/UX folks are using that spectrum

I understand all the NDA stuff.

Let us calibrate:

>Gravity is on UX2, correct?
>Lucid already said it is not updating Air SW anymore.
> as such, UX3 on Air is the next and only step, correct?

UX3 for the Air has been promised for a while. It requires an upgrade to a newer computer.
Some owns have upgrades. Other (like me) have not.

I understand the strip-tease routine to generate excitement and anticipation. But I think this is not what Lucid needs at this point of the game.
Lucid needs to come across of showing us what UX3 on the Air is all about and EXACTLY what it delivers and WHEN!
Everything else is superfluous!

Gravity is on UX 3.

Gravity is on UX 3.
My mistake!

I meant Gravity is on UX3. Hence, the basic "look-and-Feel" and functionality had alreday been disclosed.

Thanks for pointing out my oversight!

>Lucid already said it is not updating Air SW anymore.
I thought Lucid said that CCC V1 Airs will get only maintenance updates to UX2 going forward. Airs built with CCC V2 or upgraded to CCC V2 will get UX3. This may also mean the possibility of future feature updates for those UX3 cars.

Yes, I know that. I wanted to wait to see that UX3 for the Air is real before I spend another$1k on CCCV2-UX3.

My understanding is, CCCV2 does nothing for the Air in UX2.

Not entirely true. You get a higher audio quality setting in Tidal, and you get Google search in maps
