Yeah, I know. I definitely expected to see more operators in here wanting to put a rig in their car. Maybe no one is looking for help because they think it's too difficult - which is definitely not if you look at my photos.

If I'm being honest ........

... I'm in a loaner Air right now, while I wait for our Gravity to come back from service.

It had an issue when I got home from delivery with the 3rd row seat - if it's in any position except upright, it sets off warnings about the seat not being latched and/or the seatbelt being unbuckled.

So it's been a week now without the Gravity, which also means a week without any kind of antenna fitting! So I have to play in the Rivian instead ... added an Anytone 578UVIII Plus which lets me use a Bluetooth speaker/mic up front. So far, a fairly slick solution.

I’ll admit my ticket expired, but just renewed it before the grace period ran out. I don’t see an install into the air anytime soon. Maybe an HT.

I know it's off topic, but let me know how it goes if you don't mind. I've been dealing with the "latch the third row seat before driving" issue since I took delivery last year. The Gravity is a great 3 row SUV where you can't use the third row. Go figure...

Sure will!

In my case the only form of drivable/usable is with the seat fully upright. If I try to fold it down or stow it in the under trunk, it alarms and alerts and just dings incessantly. With it upright, everything is fine.

Great for passengers, awful for cargo.

That has absolutely nothing to do with ham radio. (The proper title is the Amateur Radio Service.) We actually talk with like-minded ham operators around the world rather than just listen to some guy who parts his hair like Alfalfa.

Don't bother with an HT unless you have an external antenna. The glass tint is metallic and it works real good at blocking RF. I've tried it.
