Hi,

I got my Gravity 2 days ago, Android Auto was working fine but today I noticed that I can't play anything via Android Auto anymore. If I just turn off Android Auto and use bluetooth audio it is fine so bluetooth is working. But for some reason, when connected to Android Auto, phone can't enable audio. The play button will look lilke it is working but immediately go in to pause again.

Anyone got anything similar?

I encountered similar issues and recommend removing your phone's connection from the vehicle, as well as deleting the connection to the Gravity system from your phone.

Reconnect your phone to the vehicle as if for the first time.

If this does not resolve the issue, you should remove the connection from both the phone and the vehicle, reboot the software, and then attempt reconnection.

I have experienced this problem a few times, approximately two or three instances over the past two months.

I just tried again, what seemed to have done the trick was to make a call from the phone. It does sound like an audio format negotation issue.

I get that when I don't have a cell signal, of course. The car stays connected to the phone running AA (via wifi) and it all looks normal, but with no cell signal nothing plays.

That's usually just in remote dead zones though. Probably not the problem you're experiencing, but look at the cell meter in the upper-left corner above the time and make sure you're showing a connection. (Not the one across the top bar - that's the car's connection.)

For me it didn't happen again so I am not sure what was going on. Btw I just realized that "expand" icon at the top corner of Android Auto doesn't do anything which annoys me :)

Sounds like an Android Auto glitch rather than Bluetooth. I’d try restarting both the phone and the head unit, then reconnecting Android Auto. Had similar issues before.

Not in a Lucid, but I had an issue with Android Auto where it just stopped working reliably. This will require you to re-authenticate your cars, but you can go into the Android Auto app and "Clear Storage" which essentially resets your entire Android Auto profile, and then reconnect.

Can be a bit of an extreme measure, but it's the only thing that worked for me a couple of weeks ago when my phone/AA just didn't want to work well.
