I should probably ask Lucid this question, but as busy as the phones are with them I thought I would try my luck here.

I am planning to purchase a used Lucid Air in a little more than a month. My original plan was to get a Grand Touring but now I'm thinking about a Touring. I would like to have Dream Drive Pro and Surreal Sound Pro with the car. I have seen Touring models that are equipped with both but not activated. Does anyone know what it costs to activate each and if the activation is a one time cost?

It's not really cost-effective to upgrade. DD Pro is at $6750 and SS Pro is at $2950 (not including tax). Ironically, the DD Pro upgrade price is the same for those who purchased DD Premium as it is for those who don't have it.

My 2023 AT has the hardware for the upgrade, but I've never been able to justify the price.

Activation is a one time cost as long as you already have the hardware. I don’t recall the cost for each, I want to say it is somewhere around $2,900 for sspro and $6750 for ddpro but please look into this a bit more or maybe someone who has done the upgrade recently can chime in.

@EZEVDriver beat me to it and appears to have the actual numbers.
 
I may be wrong, but it is my understanding that you cannot update a current vehicle. You have to purchase the vehicle with both already installed. That is why I purchased my 2023 AT this year with them both installed.
 
I have seen many Touring models for sale with the hardware installed. Just not all have the features active. $6750 to activate DDP is a bit steep. Thank you for posting that information! I might focus on GTs given this.

Touring or GT won't make any difference. A GT might have the hardware and not be turned on too. This was only done in 2022 and I think part of 2023 (someone else can confirm). You're better off just limiting your search to cars that actually have the feature already optioned in because it doesn't add $10k to the resale price but it's going to cost you nearly that much to software unlock it.
 
If the car doesn't come with the original Moroni sticker it can be hard to tell what package are on it and what's activated. It's sometimes best to get the VIN number and check with Lucid or look it up with an online site. The only easy upgrades I remember are Dream Drive "standard" to Premium. It's software only and I think $1500. The other is the CCCv2 chip update to make the infotainment faster and support later OTA updates. It's $950.
 
I should have been clearer. I was looking specifically at 2022 Air Grand Touring models because they all came equipped with everything. Thank you for reminding me!
