If you think that you won’t get enough use of the frunk seat from Lucid to justify the cost ( $500 plus tax and shipping ) then here’s a workaround. These are square patio chair cushions from Amazon ( $84 including tax a shipping) they come in different colors and are quite comfortable. I ordered the 17 x 16 by 3 inch thick since the frunk is 35 wide by 20 deep by16 high. This allows the back cushions to fit behind the seat cushions for a precise fit ( plus the rear starts to curve in around 32 inches so you still have some play. They ship with the cushions not in the covers so be careful matching the 16 x17 in the right orientation. They have non slip undersides as well. What do you think?

In hindsight I might have gone with the green or black but they did not have dark grey available for this size but it’s a minor quibble

How do they feel while sitting, particularly under the knee where the cushion runs out and you're hanging over the frunk sill?
And, the Lucid seat not only drapes over that, but down the front bumper so if the car is dirty, you don't get dirty.

But, for $84 vs $500 it's probably a decent option for the price.

I decided my 500 was better spent on a front clear wrap. The cushions are comfy and thick enough and you can get a throw blanket if you are concerned about dirt. put it under the front cushions and drape down over the bumper if you wish.

Do they fold in upon themselves when you close the lid? (I sound lazy! 😆)

If you’re also looking at honda pioneer accessories, they have similar cushion options worth checking out. Honestly, I think this is a pretty clever workaround. If the patio cushions fit securely in the frunk and are comfortable, it’s hard to justify spending $500+ for the Lucid option unless you really want the factory look. The non-slip bottoms are a nice bonus, and being able to choose different colors is useful too. I’d probably go this route, especially at around $84 for the set. My only concern would be making sure the cushions don’t shift around while driving or interfere with anything in the frunk. Great idea!

I love the perfectly integrated design of Lucid’s front seat. It has hooks to secure the back cushion in place. The front folds down to protect the front of the Gravity while sitting so that you don’t scratch the paint, and folds up nicely to create a front wall/compartment for storage when driving. When moving the cushion, everything collapses into one flat unit with a carrying strap. The cushion themselves are thick and plush.

These features are what we are paying for over third-party cushions, and is one of the highlights when I show off my Gravity. No other vehicle has frunk seating and people remember the experience.

Agreed but as another poster said I’d rather spend the money on a front wrap which is what I did. I’ll probably use the frunk as a seat a couple of times a year at best.

Yeah, my intent is to defer buying the OEM frunk cushion until I establish whether I ever want to sit there or not.

I use the frunk seat fairly often. When my young kids want to ride around their scooters or do chalk on the driveway I bring out a drink and pop the frunk. I also sometimes use it when camping. I anticipate using it at kids sports events or tailgating opportunities.

The Lucid seat cushion is great! If I’m traveling and need maximum storage capacity then I remove it because it does take up 10-15% of the storage capacity

Love it. You've inspired me to order some similar products from Amazon to rig up my own setup. I also ordered a tent footprint (ground cover tarp) to cover the bumper while using the seats. Will try to post some photos after the setup is complete.
