Have been an ICE guy for ever. Have decided to replace one of the cars (2020 Porsche Cayenne) with an EV. After a fair amount of research I have decided on either a 2025 Lucid touring or Grand Touring. (Most of the depreciation has already hit!!) Use will be less than 50 miles per day with an occasional 2,000 mile round trip per year. Fl To NJ and back. Garage kept. I would like to get the GT but with an AL roof (live in FL). This is proving fairly difficult. Should I just go with the Touring and look for something that has the upgrades that are standard on the GT or should I plod along and look for the GT with an AL roof. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I'll assume you're talking about an Air since you mentioned the aluminum roof. Will you often have passengers in the back seat? The GT has a higher floor so "slightly" less comfortable.

I've had no issues with range doing long road trips in my '25 Touring. Best day managed 922 miles.

Will be hard to give up the Cayenne - hopefully you’ve had a good experience with yours like I have with mine. Going from an SUV to a low, low sedan might be an adjustment for sure.

I have a loaded touring, every option including glass roof. I love the glass roof. I had a pure loaner without the glass and it felt so much more enclosed. Comparing a fully loaded touring to a Grand touring the biggest difference is range. The daily driving isn't an issue but the 2000 mile road trip might welcome more range. With a touring and 20 inch wheels at 82mph I can realistically go around 275 miles from 100% charge to 10% charge . Of course if I slow down I can really extend the range . I'm not sure how much future a GT can go as I dont own one but the battery in a GT is 30% larger than the touring.
