I sold it.... =( .... Can I still hang out with you guys?

Yea…. The car was amazing but it spooked me a little… :) My wife told me that enough was enough and I needed to sell it! :) hahaha and if you saw her you would understand why I sold it! :)

I bought a total mid life crisis vehicle…

I am a 2025 3X Hummer owner… :)
You went from one extreme end of the energy efficiency bell curve to the other end in one fell swoop. But you are in pretty much the same place on the "how cool is this?" bell curve.

Kind of suspect something was up because the OP had been so quiet, after a barrage of posting about issues.
Hope you have better luck with the new purchase.

I'm a little sad that you sold your Air but of course you can hang out with us Lucid geeks. You did an awesome job fundraising but think of your tag line now - "I don't even have a freaking Lucid but I'm a supporting member! What's your excuse?"

Ira Glass eat your heart out 😂😂😂

Not allowed to “fundraise” anymore… :) but I will proudly keep my membership for my next Lucid.

The most trivial of trivia...

My other car is a fiftieth anniversary Camaro SS. Al Oppenheiser, the taller gent in the pic below, was Chief Engineer for Camaro. Al was also the Chief Engineer for Hummer EV.

Not my car in the pic. Mine is a 2017 Camaro Fifty. Looks more like the one on my shirt. The car in the pic is a 2018 Hot Wheels Fiftieth Anniversary Camaro.

I think the GM BT1 platform is verging on irresponsible in terms of use of resources, inefficient drivetrain engineering, and overall weight. 9,500lbs curb weight is ridiculous.

No...... This car sadly cost me almost 10,000 including the warranty to own it.
To be fair, I lost over $50k lol, but who's counting?

Just curious, did your third-party warranty end up working?

Yes…. I had to pay and get money back….

And I actually did ok financially selling it. It was fair for all parties.

Nice. I hope more people can learn from you. When it's not the right fit, take a small loss and move on. The depreciation will only keep increasing. Saw a 33k 2022 on C&B; that's crazy.

I hope you like the Hummer. When I test-drove it, a lot of wind noise.

your post kind of reminds me of what i've been trying to do for the past year...get a ct5v blackwing. One of the least fuel efficient cars on the market mixed with a lucid EV. yin/yang

Funny you say that. Test drove a CTS-V recently as it has been on my radar for a while. Absolutely loved it. When thought about what other car felt similar, the Lucid Air came to mind. Outside of EV vs V8, not as ying and yang as one might think.

Funny you should mention the CT5-V Blackwing. Lucid had it as part of their benchmark fleet (which included the BMW F80 M5 CS and E39 M5). If the feel is similar, then I think that means the chassis and vehicle dynamics team hit their goals 😁
