Ventilated seats are available with the leather upgrade. Massage is gone though.
And once you choose one of the 3 leather options for seating you do get the 14-Way Power Heated Front Seats With Ventilation (including cushion length and seating cooling included which I like) it automatically adds another $3,000.00 for the Comfort & Convenience Package (thankyouverymuchforputtingyourhandinmypocketonthesly) and without any other options chosen you are at $85,900.00.

Assuming service has recovered enough that I'm willing to get another Air when my lease is up in 18 months, this is going to leave me in quite a quandary .

I'm pretty unhappy with the Pureluxe seats. Unless they are markedly improved by then, I refuse to get another car with them.

At the same time, I'm also deeply regretting not getting the massaging seats.

I really hope they are available in leather by then.

For 2027 the massaging seats are only available in the Grand Touring... It appears you can get with leather, but PurLuxe is standard surface.

Only 3 color options for the 2027 Pure?
Yes, that is what I see on the configurator... Black is standard. However, white and grey are $1000 uncharge. Odd?

I can only assume that they are working to increase production line efficiency, so likely they will arrange to build all Pure orders in groups, with simplified options and colors.

This all tracks with what was said on the investor call. Less complexity, focus on cost and cash. The days of ordering a Lucid in any available color with an endless array of option choices are over. It also makes it much easier to manage inventory when there's little distinction between an ordered car and a pre-built one.

I still can't believe Lucid only offers black plastic or leather front seats. That's simply a deal killer for a lot of people in areas like Houston where I reside. Especially perplexing considering the Saudi influence.

I will admit that while the Pureluxe seats tear a bit too easily, they are soft and comfortable and don't seem to hold heat like most black seats in cars. I'm in the DFW area, so no stranger to hot sun.

Plus, the ability to pull out your phone and have the car start cooling off before you get to it helps a ton as well.

And that with very light carpets suitable only for a show car. Should have been reversed.
I'm so glad they got it right in Gravity.

Stealth and sound isn’t a bad combo I’m sure they had data to suggest that’s what people want.
On my 2025. Those two options are exactly what I would want to change! So yeah, they must’ve done some good market research on that.

Agreed! Whoever thought it was nice at Lucid to put in White Carpet for the Santa Cruz Interior : I commend you for making it look pretty! However in practice, I Loathe you for making me scrub! The moment service set good to fix my car or upgrade the CCC to CCCv2 they went from pretty Cashmere White to littered Charcoal soot spots everywhere !

Thank you @DeaneG for the awesome TUX Mats. My Sanity is saved 😇!

Rant Done.

You'd think it would be cheaper to simply standardize most of the options and just have a few extras you can add rather than decontenting the lower trim models. No massage seats available on the Touring is terrible. It is one of their best options IMO. SO many weird decisions made by this company. How are the top screens not the same in the Gravity and Air now? Why are the interior materials not the same in both models? Why are so many spec cars made without DDPro and Surreal Sound Pro? Here is what I would do if I were them. Why did they not do these things below from the start???
  • Use the Gravity screen/infotainment architecture across Lucid models: Same 34" OLED, processor, HUD, Pilot Panel and software, with different dashboard styling for Air.
  • Standardize interior materials: Use the same leather/PurLuxe, woods, suede, carpeting and trim suppliers across Air, Gravity and midsize models; differentiate through colors and combinations.
  • Share expensive hidden components: Common seat motors/massage systems, audio electronics, door hardware, steering-wheel components and ADAS sensors/computers.
  • Move Air to Gravity’s newer electrical/charging architecture at its next major refresh, including power electronics, charging hardware and related controllers.
  • Reduce configurations and parts: Fewer unique seats, wheels, trims and option combinations would lower purchasing, inventory and manufacturing costs.
Basically: one common Lucid technology/component platform underneath, with Air, Gravity and midsize models looking and driving differently on top.

That would be a very substantial re-engineering effort for the Air, from every department. Those engineers must finish midsize instead.

I'm sure Lucid's got plans for the Air and Gravity down the line, but right now, they're very resource constraints due to their ongoing cost focus and and due to the company being all-hands-on-deck for midsize.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are talks in Lucid to unify the architecture for a new generation of Gravity / Air, but all the points you've raised will take substantial engineering resources, time, funding, testing, homolegation, etc., that Lucid does not currently have because they are prioritizing midsize.

One last thing to be aware of is that the manufacturing and supplier landscape has changed very differently between the Air, Gravity, and midsize development timelines. So prior assumptions made during the design phase may no longer hold relevancy once you've got one vehicle in production and another in development. .
