Lots of Gravity inventory in Miami World Center garage.

In an odd way, the Gravity struggles from not being more expensive. If it was a Ferrari, with Ferrari pricing, people would accept that it's a finicky vehicle. Partly because no one buys a Ferrari for their daily driver. And most people buy it purely for themselves, and don't worry whether it's a vehicle their spouse would be comfortable driving. But partly because of its practicality in space for both passengers and cargo, the Gravity gets slotted into an entirely different space in people's minds: it's a family car. And a family car needs to be reliable, needs to not infuriate your spouse, and it can't require the valet to know how to reboot it before they can bring it back to you. The fact that it's also a super car doesn't matter, it needs to fulfill the family car expectations, at least for most people.
Ha, funny. I actually drafted a paragraph about this same thing for that post. You are exactly right. A friend of mine has 2 Ferraris, and they are not good everyday cars. And the UX are rough in both. But they perfectly fulfill other expectations. His regular car is a Model S Plaid that perfectly fulfills the family car expectations.

I was in the same position and ordered my Gravity without the HUD. I can't say what it's like to use the HUD. But I can say that Gravity has been a great car even without it.
Yeah, I'm confident I'll enjoy driving a Gravity with no HUD. And with the current HUD features, I don't really see much point to it, since the steering wheel and display makes it easy to see all that information anyway. I don't care at all about the ambient lighting, so it's really only FOMO if the HUD ever delivers on the AR promises Lucid has made. And yes, I'm fully aware of what a bad idea it can be to rely on a car manufacturer (not just Lucid) delivering on a promised future feature.

Right, the screen sits high, so you do have the same information very visible w/o the HUD. Plus, there's no indication so far of the AR overlay ever being added with the current hardware

I agree, I think a HUD is somewhat redudant/obsolete in the Gravity with the screen the way it is, same with the nueue klasse BMW with that strip screen in the lower windshield...

Other than for navigation. I find the navigation prompts in the HUD the most useful place for it.

I haven't seen the new iX3 and iX5 in person yet, but I get the feeling that the screen set up they came up with is the one I'd like the most
