Better than before, still some issues:
1) Shows mountain peaks, but not towns.
2) Forgets to pre-condition on long multi-stop routes. And some weird charger choices.
3) Very non-optimal routes.
4) No antialiasing around edges of top screen.
5) Lane centering isn't good - stopped for no reason in Colorado.
6) Didn't get hands-free to work (this works for me, however).
7) Road bumps make the auto-steer/steering go wonky, vibrating.

He starts with a list of some really things about the car, btw, don't take my listing of issues here as indicative of the tone of the video. At one point "maybe even better than Cayenne."

Good news (?) as he feels that the Cayenne EV is the current top dog.

I think he was refering to the Cayenne Turbo EV at $200k as top dog but then clarifies that for the money, the Gravity was better.

Of course Kyle had to get the car that has not one, but two rare issues…

I actually had the lane centering go wonky on me a couple weeks ago while on 3.6 while in Hands Free ADAS. Upgraded to 3.6.3 shortly afterwards and have not seen it since. Not sure which software Kyle is on.

Then I need to keep paying close attention as it might happen again. With me it was as if Drive Assist had been turned off and car started drifting into left lane even though display showed steering wheel with hands light in orange and lanes with surrounding cars displayed (which only happens when Drive Assist is activated). This was particularly worrying as I was in hands free mode and had my hands on my lap. I had to quickly reach up and grab wheel to bring car back in lane. Drive Assist did not seem to want to re-engage for next couple minutes until I exited highway. After spending a few hours at location, system worked fine on way home.

Kyle mentioned soon to be released software update but if he is on 3.6.3, interesting to know what this new one is about other than further fine tuning of Hands Free Drive Assist?

A Gemini summary for those that do not want to watch the whole video

The Positives

Ride & Handling: The triple-chamber air suspension with dynamic handling pack provides excellent road-tripping comfort, managing body motions better than competitors like the Rivian R1S [13:27].

Cabin Comfort & Climate: The HVAC and Creature Comfort mode work extremely well in 110°F+ heat, keeping the cabin cool and quiet [22:52].

Cabin & Cargo Space: Exceptional interior room and ultra-low loading height via air suspension [16:46].

Charging & Range: Performs well on DC fast charging (sustains around 220–225 kW on Tesla Superchargers with motor voltage stepping) [21:54].

Efficiency: Achieved around 2.86–2.91 miles/kWh across mountains, high speeds, and continuous climate/dog mode use [42:38].

Issues & Glitches

Driver Assistance System Lag & Dropouts: The hands-on lane centering lagged and temporarily failed after long mountain drives before resetting after being parked [32:47].

Hands-Free Availability: Experienced a known bug where hands-free driving repeatedly disabled itself [35:53].

Steering Rack Oscillation: Hitting highway bumps triggers a severe high-frequency vibration/oscillation in the steering wheel during active lane centering, requiring manual intervention [38:56].

Navigation & Software: Map routing tends to prioritize mountain peaks over cities [26:29] and occasionally chooses illogical routes or forgets battery preconditioning on modified stops [27:52].

Design & Build Quality:

The wide clamshell tailgate design easily leads to hitting one's head [18:29], and the power latch sound is unrefined [19:28].

Minor fit and finish issues, such as screen bezel anti-aliasing issues [29:47] and loose exterior/interior plastic appliques [45:34].

Currently lacks digital key functionality (phone as a key) [49:01] and decoupled drive mode customizations [49:12].

Conclusion

Despite the steering and software bugs, the hosts note that the Lucid Gravity is a massive leap forward in refinement and usability compared to earlier Lucid products [48:43], offering a solid value proposition against luxury electric SUVs like the Porsche Cayenne [47:22].

Kyle also said that Lucid says only some Gravity's are affected by the bug (and his was one of the affected ones)

We don’t really know, there’s some allegations of downplaying QA issues with some pretty solid evidence entering court right now. There’s a new lawsuit from an engineer who identified the Air Pure driveshaft engineering issue and when he reported it, Emad shut him up when the QA engineer said it was a widespread issue. Lucid went from trying to recall just a “few” Air Pures, (200) trying to use some vibration sensing algorithms, to basically all of them (over 3000) needing a recall because the QA engineer was correct. I also think this may have been why Emad left the company. It’s an interesting lawsuit.

To give Kyle the true Lucid owners experience, he should be required to get the steering rack issue resolved the same way as the rest of us would. Pull up the app and realized there are no appointments available for next 3 months. Try to call local service center and get no answer or returned call. Contact Customer Service and hell raise. Finally get an appointment to be told that it would be over a month before the issue would even be looked at by a service tech.

Pretty minor lousy complaints……and he has to go on and on and on and on and on and on and on…………and on and on and on………why can’t he just come to the damn point?

That's the Kyle way, drone on and on to make his content seem like it is long. He's got some really good content but some of it is just fluff and could be cut.

I have exactly the same steering vibration issue when hitting bumps on the highway. Something is triggering the vibration motor, as if I had touched a lane marking.

I was under impression it's a software bug. Maybe it's not?

Pretty balanced and accurate review IMO (but it could have been conveyed in 10-20 minutes).

As a new owner who missed out on all the "fun" of the earlier Gravity experience, it's been pretty solid with minor annoyances like Kyle mentioned. A couple more software fixes and build consistency improvements, and I'd say the daily-driver experience would be at par or better compared to many established brands.

I fully agree with him on the unrefined rear hatch latch sound and motion; mine is particularly loud and unreliable, with it failing to unlatch 20% of the time unless I give it a bit of a "manual assist" and apply some upward pressure with my hand while opening. I feel that it could be easily fixed with a software update to make it behave like the frunk (which is now flawless after 3.6.0).

I like OOS and think he did a good job of laying out what works well and what doesn’t. And the overall conclusion so far is a positive one. But they really could benefit from some editing.

Yeah I just finished the video and it was actually very positive. Seems like Gravity software is really close to being very well sorted. Night and day compared to the last video he made.

In general it's quite good - at least in my experience.
