Am I going crazy or has it always been an hour or when battery hits 2%? I thought it stayed on indefinitely until you hit 2%. Weird that the manual says this but the screen in the car leads you to believe it’s indefinite…..

If I want to keep the climate on during a short(ish) stop, I've always used Creature Comfort (easy pull-down on the screen). I didn't even know there was a Keep mode. 😅

Anyone know roughly how much battery it uses on a hot day, like for an hour? When going to a restaurant, for instance, I usually just try to remember remote start climate a few minutes before leaving (which I rarely remember). If it doesn't use much juice, I may just try to remember to use CC more often when getting out.
 
It's like 2% an hour from what I have noticed, but that is as long as I have actually used it in a stop and park scenario going shopping in the hot summer...I usually set keep to 78 DEG F and let all the zones run.
 
The remote climate only goes for an hour. I've had it turn off when I couldn't get out of the office in time for it.
 
I’ve always used creature comfort too, I didn’t know Lucid came out with a Keep mode similar to Tesla.

Which is fine. The point being that if you're starting it remotely, then you can do that at any time (an appropriate time like 5-10 minutes before getting to the car). Unlike starting it on the screen when leaving the car.

The problem for me is just remembering. ;)
 
Wow am I glad you posted this. I've always thought Keep mode lasted longer than that and would stay on until the battery ran low. I had no idea it only lasts an hour:oops:
Good thing I got an electric cooler with onboard batteries (Anker-Solix); those Dometic plug-in ones wouldn't stay cold all night if you tried to use them on a camp trip one the 120V outlets in Keep mode!

Question: does anyone know if the 12V cig-lighter style outlet in the cargo area is included in Keep mode?... or does it stay on??... or is it off when the car goes to sleep ???
 
I’m also surprised to see this. This is a great feature, and given how little juice it uses, I don’t really see why it couldn’t just stay on.

Though I could definitely understand a default shut off at a significantly higher battery capacity than 2%! Or, setting an hour-long limit if your battery’s below 20%…

Yeah, going until the vehicle hits 2% charged seems like a recipe for a lot of disgruntled people. Turn it on, forget to turn it off, and then come back to the car when you may not have enough charge to make it to a charging station.
 
Creature comfort stays on until you shut it off but it will shut off if battery gets super low - 10 miles of range - and it gives you warnings via the app before it shuts off. Which is a bit more than 2% depending on your battery.

Tesla “solves” this “keep” issue with a warning that the AC has been on for a while and asks if you want to keep it on. I think our Rivian does too but I don’t drive it enough.

I use creature comfort daily for extended periods and it uses very, very little battery even when it’s 100 outside and 72 in the car. Same with the inverse when I have to keep heat on. It’s a great feature on EVs in general.

Yes, a significant standard of living upgrade that is pretty much an EV only feature...

If you set the 120V outlets to keep on, they will stay on all night. The climate control keep on only works for an hour. They are separate settings.

Yes but this actually NOT an option for just the 12V, which is a shame. I don’t have power package but want to keep 12V on. Apparently, car software option only appears if you have the outlets…
