I am based out of Dallas and have been an owner of an Air since the last 2+ years. Mobile techs here are top-notch and I have not needed a service center visit so far. Only routine maintenance that they do at home. I have it on good authority that a service center is opening up in the October timeframe, and it will be much bigger than Houston, with possibly 10-12 bays. That will be amazing!!
I have been seeing his updates on X, and it seems it has been positive so far, including his comments to replies. He did have some issues with lane keep, and it didn't do hands-free due to a bug in some vehicles, and he seems to have been aware of it from the get-go. I am hoping for a positive review.
The more you complain about it, the more it happens?
And exactly how will people come to understand this fact without seeing and hearing about its operation and reliability?
We can also say just make a damn car that unlocks like basic i say!
I think the problem is that autonomous driving might kill you if it doesn't work well. Or to put it another way, being behind the wheel when autonomous driving goes wrong can be a scary experience. Compare that to early traction control systems, which didn't always work well, but the experience of driving a bad one tended to just not produce better traction, and you mostly lost grip when you would have expected to with your prior car. I don't think we're ever likely to find the average driver not minding autonomous driving flaws. At least, not until they're all annoyance level, rather than being scary.
Yeah whatever DreamDrive issue they had in Colorado resolved and it is working fine now apparently. Overall it does seem like they are pretty positive on the Gravity from their X posts. I’m eager to see the full video reviews from them though.

Even Tesla sucks at autonomy….they may be ahead of others but they still suck- from personal experience. When regulators approve the first one, people know it had to pass a much higher hurdle for safety and dependability. While the second is "Well, it'll get there". Thus why it requires supervision like a 5yo learning to ride a bike for the first time while the anxious parent is running alongside waiting for the crash.
All these manufacturers are following the Tesla lead of using customers as crash test dummies to test their self-driving tech (minus the intentional crashing). A practice that gives me some pause. Maybe it's the only realistic way to get to the end goal of unsupervised robotaxis, but I for one have chosen to pass on that half-in phase. I'll do my own steering until then. True robotaxis will be great in the future. The timing should be good for me as that's about the age I'll need to stop driving anyway.
I wouldn't quite go as far as to say it's "fixed", but it is way better than it was (for me anyway). I'm running about 90% success now, which is way better than it was. But I've still had a few 15-20 second delays since 3.6.3.
Zoox looks great. Love the vehicle design. It's so practical for that purpose, in a way that a regular car design isn't. And I appreciate that Waymo and Zoox are getting there without using the public as guinea pigs to test their autonomy.
Unlocking is being fixed. 3.6.3 was rolled out a little over a week ago for Gravity owners. Not all owners have received the update and some are still reporting issues with unlocking even after the update. It’s an issue that should have never existed in the first place. Lucid over-engineered the most basic component of a car, the thing that lets you in it.
It would be good to get a Gravity owner poll going on this now that 3.6.3 is out. Mine has been 100% for many months now. Not a single failure to lock or unlock and zero lag. 3.6.3 made it even more sensitive to my approach than before. But I'd be curious what % of owners still have major or even minor issues with this.

Same here, zero issues whatsoever since 3.6. Noticed slightly better response upon approach, and handle action, since 3.6.3.
