Update on Our Next OTA Release (post-3.6.0)

I'm wondering if when you have the say >10sec delay (< or equal to 5sec is probably w/in spec for most any SW defined vehicle) if you can see the splash screen on the Cockpit Display indicating the car is having to wake up before it can detect your fob?

The reason I asked is I've had a loaner GGT for ~three weeks now and probably one out of ten times it delays similarly, though I don't think it's ever been for more than 12-15sec
When it does this I look inside and see the splash screen...like the car was in a deeper sleep state or some shit and has to boot up like a desktop from 1999. 🤷‍♂️
I don't recall explicitly checking the screens but I'm 99% sure they don't come on either during the delay. I'm sure I'd have noticed if they did. The car does nothing at all until it finally "kicks in". No sights or sounds.

My 3.6.3 came in late last night. I'll play with it today and see if there's any improvement. If not, I'll send an email off to Customer Care asking for a fob replacement.

It depends on WHY the system is delaying. I'm my case (granted, it's the Air), I think the car sometimes is in too deep a sleep (or stopped looking for a fob/phone). Pressing in the door handle seems to wake it up enough, or triggers it to look for the fob, and it is about 95%v successful at being enough to get it to unlock and present the handles.

Obviously there are other possible causes for a delay that won't be solved by pushing in the handles, but I suspect it's worth trying for most people, or they wouldn't have it in the manual.
Oh yeah, it's definitely on the long list of things worth trying, along with shaking the fob, updating fob firmware, replacing the battery, wiping the child coating off the battery, trying a different battery brand, pressing the fob buttons, trying to open the liftgate with it's imbedded button, and trying to open the charge port flap. All tried many times with zero impact on this particular issue.

Any of those might work for others with a different issue though.

Finally got offered the 3.6.3 update this morning. Installing now. Not sure what sequence they push out in, but ours was a December build.

I got the update notification at night. Also a December build surprisingly 😀 going to check the climate control functionality soon

Small sample size, but so far I'm 6-for-6 on the doors unlocking and presenting just as I'm approaching the car after 3.6.3. 👍 I've seen fool's gold before and had it regress, but so far this is promising. We leave Friday on a 2-week road trip so that'll give it a good workout to see if it's really fixed.

On the downside, the CREEP setting still hasn't been fixed to stay from the previous drive, or remembered in the profile. 👎 I didn't really expect that to be fixed in this one since there was no mention of it, but still hoping they slip that into an update soon. Seems so simple and obvious.

That's really good news. The engineer in me wants to know why some people have had issues with entry delay, and others none at all.

Just got notified, install took a while (> 1hr) but was successful, and working fine so far afterwards

Looks like they’ve opened the gates. June 2026 Touring just updated mine, took 70min from start to finish. Will probably give it a whirl tomorrow.

The new update works well for me. Also noticed that the overview trip map automatically zooms in now, while traveling, which is a helpful and appreciated feature. Nice.

Homelink glitch still exist with the new update... Once the fob is recognized the garage door will either open or close depending on which position it was in when you walked near your gravity...

I'd schedule a service appointment, even though it sounds like a software bug. Something is whacked in your car.

I have one scheduled for next Friday I'll mention it to them...It's definitely a software bug as it just started with a 3.6.0 update when we had to reload our homelink devices...I'm sure they'll give me their standard cannot recreate issue response... It's just so random and it's hard to catch on video because I never know when it's going to happen...

I don't understand why owners walk up the car and stand there passively, confused and out of options.
Just push on the door handle as stated in the manual. Personally I don't have time in my life to wait for a mere car to wake up and unlock.

Thankfully, I am none of those things you described. I am not confused, or passive, or out of options. I too, read the manual when bored or when something doesn’t work. Which is precisely the point of my post. Lucid releases an update, which clearly advertises a faster response to the keyfob, and it doesn’t work for me, so here I am reporting on an advertised feature that doesn’t work. That is all.

My 2017 Model X has a keyfob that has worked just fine as I am approaching it for the last 9 years. My 2023 Escalade keyfob unlocks my doors as I walk out my front door and I can just get in. I have 2 young kids, and sometimes, my hands are full, and my kids run ahead and have to wait for me to get to the car, press the door handle and wait a few seconds for the car to wake, and unlock. I’ve even resorted to opening the app, and unlocking the car remotely before I walk out the door just so that I don’t have to wait. So yeah, life happens sometimes where I can’t get my phone out, or need to press the handle. I just want my mere $100K plus car to have a working keyfob.

I was thinking that they could factory reset the car if necessary.

How did you get a 2nd fob? Did you have to pay for it? Is it something they can program remotely and mail it to you or does it require a service visit (which would suck)?
I have a Dream Edition which came with 2 fobs.

Why did you have to reload your devices?

My homelink has also been wonky since 3.6.0 and can't figure out the right device for the location we are at. I had been thinking to try to delete and reload them but now seeing your post I'm not so sure haha. And there was one time our garage door phantom closed when I came in from our backyard... wondering if that's the issue you are seeing.

It was either 3.5.7 or 3.6.0, one of those updates stated you may have to reload Homelink and I had to as the update took my connection away. Mine happens so randomly it's hard to catch it on video to show them. But at least once a week. I've reported it to the SW feedback line, was hoping it would go away but it hasn't. I'll have them look at it, but not sure what they can do.

I have this same issue (and it existed in 3.6.0 for me as well).

Another Homelink quirk is that my car will display the available Homelink programs at random locations that are well beyond the capability of Homelink.

I think Lucid may have adjusted something with the touch screen response. Previously I had to hit the homelink multiple times and wonder when it will work. Yesterday I'm positive I hadn't even touched the screen, hovering over waiting to backup far enough and the door started closing. Scared the heck out of me. I was touching over the top of the screen with my fingers to steady my hand with my thumb in position above the Homelink button. Think I'll keep my hands on the wheel till I'm clear of the garage.
