Gravity UX 3.6.3 is rolling out

With 3.6.3 is the rear climate control panel expected to activate when a child is sitting in a booster seat in the 2nd row with the seat belt fastened? Asking for a rather disappointed 7-year-old.
 
I got my GGT back from service. They replaced a camera that didn't let 3.6.0 calibrate properly. Finally experienced hands free driving. I'm definitely going to like it on long drives. Service also updated me to 3.6.3. I don't know what the latest update does other than makes what we have a bit better. I'll read the release notes later.

Car is fixed. Got a new camera to calibrate and updated to 3.6.3.
 
Installed 3.6.3.

Yes, that finally works well enough.
What about manual Door Locking?
It's hard to push the handle, and then it's doing a double pull until it's flat.
Do we need a separate update for that?
Or should I do testing and inspection before you release anything?
Don't you have a professional person for that job?

In my testing, the rear climate control panel is still tied only to the weight sensor, unfortunately. However, even if it was turned on via the seat belt being buckled, would your 7-year old in a booster seat be able to reach it?

Note that it’s just the screen that’s not turned on. Rear climate works fine, as per the 3.6.3 release notes (turns on via seat belt and stays on between drives).

After installing 3.6.3 it seems the HVAC is louder than before with little airflow coming from the front vents when in auto mode. Like a step back to when this happened before the last SW fix. With an exterior temp of 68 and the interior set to 72 it sounded like the HVAC was on full blast unnecessarily. Yes, I verified the front vent louvers were open.

I find the front vents to be pretty weak too. Maybe it's just because the car interior is significantly bigger than other cars I've had recently, or because of the glass roof (I do have the shades on), but this car has more hot/cold spots than I've noticed in others. The right side of my face often feels hot while the left side feels comfortable. There just doesn't seem to be strong enough airflow from those front vents to circulate this much air evenly. They're also somewhat limited in their ability to aim. The narrow dash strip they're in limits much up/down aiming, and the center screen partially blocks those center vents.

I wouldn't say it's BAD, just... below average. It's good enough after the car interior has reached temperature, but it puts a premium on remembering to start the car remotely well before getting in.

I’ve never had HVAC issues since I picked up my Gravity in January. The AC has always been cold and blowing enough air. The cabin is large and expectedly takes longer to cool. The issue I noticed after 3.6.3 was the HVAC system was louder than before and compared to the amount of air blowing. The Gravity used to have an issue with loud HVAC but it was resolved with a previous SW update. It sounds like it would if you were to get into the car when it’s 100 degrees out and set the AC to 70 to cool off the car. Instead it was 68 ambient and the Gravity temp set to 72. The actual amount of airflow matched what you’d expect with those parameters, but it sounded like it was on full blast.

Did you have your rear climate on all the time before the update? I don't and after the update I noticed the HVAC was noticeably louder and didn't seem to be blowing out as much chilled air. I turned the rear climate on for the dog and forgot to turn it off when done, where in the past it would have turned off automatically. After a few trips of noisy HVAC I noticed that the rear climate was still on, turned it off and all is quiet again and the air in the front is more chilled.
 
The loudest thing I've noticed is when the seat coolers are on. I often turn on Max AC when I get in the car, but when you turn it off, the cooling of seats stay on. So much quieter when I turn those off (which I rarely use...).

Funny you mentioned that, I actually just got back from a quick trip and decided to check that as I got out. I noticed the rear vents were on even though no one was back there. Turned them off and can confirm the front is quiet again. Before the rear HVAC wouldn’t turn on automatically when someone was back there. Now it seems like the solution was to just have the rear on all the time. Lucid tries to fix one issue and just creates another.

I was going to mention this. After passengers get out of the rear, I've noticed it will stay on hi back there so when thst happens, I just hit the sync button and all the AC comes down to same fan speed and settings as the front.

I think the release notes mention that... it remembers the last state. So if you had it on during your last drive, they will be on when you drive again, regardless of occupancy

Correct. You just need to remember to turn it off now if you’ve turned it on

Enhanced Rear Cabin Comfort
  • Rear passengers now enjoy smarter, more consistent comfort. Rear climate activates more consistently when a passenger is detected or a seat belt is buckled in the second or third row.
  • On equipped vehicles, turning on rear climate will always enable third-row airflow.
  • Rear climate power state (On/Off) is remembered across drives, so passengers are comfortable from the moment they get in.

Now they just need to apply that same logic to the CREEP setting too.

I do wish they would change their formatting for what's ON and OFF on the pilot panel. It still feels backwards (black = ON). But whatever the choices, there could be more contrast between them too so ON sticks out a little more.

Please make sure car wheels are straight.
 
I just updated mine to 3.6.3. There was mention to update Fob. After updating the Gravity I do not see option to update FOB

FOB update is done via the phone app. under "Software Update" at the top there is a "VEHICLE" and "KEY FOB" button. Click on the "KEY FOB" button and follow the directions. Version 2.35.13 is the latest software version for the key fob.
