Sometimes when I'm navigating to an address using the Lucid Google maps navigation, after entering the address, Google starts up in the route overview mode (showing the entire trip) and I'd rather that it always start up in the navigation mode (which it has done a few times). The iOS Google maps doesn't have trouble always staying in this mode. How do I make the Lucid version consistently show the same view after the address has been entered?

Lucid doesn't use Google Maps navigation, only Google's Places database. Two different things.

In Android Auto or CarPlay?

I wasn't aware. I thought I heard the salesperson say Google Maps - it sorta looks like Google Maps, but doesn't behave like Google Maps. Thanks.

It uses Google to search for the locations, but the maps are from a company called HERE

Just to clarify, I'm connecting my phone using CarPlay, but I was using the Lucid Navigation.

we use Lucid Nav for charging stop planning and on the Pilot panel for route overview then use iMaps through CP on the Cockpit display for route planning/turn by turn and don't seem to have issues

so, just to clarify, are you using the Lucid Nav to pick out the charging locations and adding them to Apple Maps for your route, or are you running both of Lucid Nav and Apple Maps at the same time?

inputting charging stops from the Lucid HERE nav into iMaps to get the turn by turn directions

Sometimes I do run iMaps up top (Cockpit screen) and get the broader view of the route down below (Pilot panel) on the HERE map

I do something similar, using Lucid maps to determine about where the next charging stop should be, then using Google maps to drive there.

Our other EV has native and seamlessly effective Google maps.

If Lucid would report the car's SOC to Google Maps in Android Auto, and if Android Auto projection became fullscreen, it would be not bad compared to that
