GT 7 Seater 22/23 vs T 5 Seater 20/21s - The Touring has stolen my heart

Would be nice if Lucid made the 3rd row completely removable to get lighter weight when you dont need it. Wonder if the bracket is removable

I experienced the same thing but the other way around: I have a GGT with the 20/21's (wanted better tire options for severe snow rated tires come winter for ski trips, better range, and less chance of pot hole blow outs). But now that my vehicle is in the service center I'm driving a loaner GGT equipped with the 22/23's and ya, even though it's summer, those fancy looking rubber band tires do not have the same ride quality as my 20/21's. My GGT seems lighter on its feet and more nimble.
It's almost counter intuitive but the Hankook's seem to handle better on the curvy mountain roads around the Santa Cruz Mountains than these Pzero's
I feel I made the right choice on wheels & tires thus far and will probably go with a 3PMSF A/S like Cross Climate II or Vredestein Quatrac Pro+ this winter to drive from sea level up to Tahoe and back for ski season.

SC has some great roads. It was better in 20 years ago, when being a car enthusiasts wasn't as popular. I feel covid really ruined everything for backroad enthusiasts.

Inspecting tires is always a must. It tells you everything about how the car is performing.

Fun fact:
Put a car on any alignment rack, take before readings, align the car, take after readings, then take the car off the rack and put it back on and take new readings. They will be different. It will never be the same because the car will always settle slightly differently every time.

They both have 2 motors, but the Touring is 500 lbs lighter. That makes a big difference in braking and handling. Not in acceleration of course, because the GT has a better power-to-weight ratio.

20yrs ago I had a 5sp stick 4.0L straight six OG Jeep Cherokee and just upgraded to high end shocks and bought really good A/T tires. There wasn't a road in NorCal, SoCal, Baja, or B.C.S. that that car wouldn't handle...respiratory viruses be damned!!

I genuinely made the wrong choice with the GT 7 seater 22/23, however at the time I need the car immediately. Hopefully the when it comes time to return the Gravity, I can test drive all the different trims of the Cosmos. Then decide if I want to go Cosmos or Gravity T.

Somehow, the experiences of one's youth always feel like they were just yesterday. My first car that was really mine had 165HR13 tires (1980 Mazda 626). I drove the shit out of that thing, and had a grand time. The Gravity 20/21 setup feels enormous to me, and the 22/23 setup looks like something out of a Japanese comic to my eyes.

Oh the days when tires cost, $55 bucks because they were tiny. Good luck finding those size tires these days. When I had to buy a new set for my E30 a few years ago, I had 3 choices of tires.
