My AT lease is up in 2.5 months, and I’m ready to move into a 2026 Gravity now, but Lucid won’t budge on a pull-ahead. I’m honestly shocked, especially given the company’s current situation and the incredible incentives being offered.

Why isn’t Lucid offering a no-brainer lease pull-ahead for customers within three months of maturity to help boost Gravity sales? It’s especially frustrating because the exact 2026 Gravity I want, a seven-seater with Stealth, will start disappearing from inventory, and the July money factors on 24- to 36-month leases are really incredible.

The truth is, in two months I may change my mind and buy the new Tesla YL, which looks more and more intriguing.

Can somebody ping upper management on this? I saw a few folks in a similar position. Lucid has a loyal customer base ready to pull ahead in the summer months, but they’re making it unnecessarily difficult.

I don't think they "own" the leases (I don't know if it's the right term). It's BoA, and I think it's BoA that has to make the decision. I'm not 100% sure, though.

That’s beside the point. Lucid could simply cover the remaining payments ($1,600 total for me) and treat it as an additional incentive to move Air customers into a Gravity asap.
For such a relatively small amount, I’m honestly shocked they won’t budge. I’m not sure upper management fully appreciates the “gravity” of so many Air leases ending this quarter, especially when many customers are already on the fence about staying with the brand given the company’s financial situation. Just my two cents.

Yeah I honestly don’t know why they don’t do this. Why not lock us in for another 3 years and move inventory? Every other brand I’ve ever dealt with does this.

Then they can take the used car back and sell it for more than residual.

What I'm hearing is "I signed a contract and now want to get out of my contract but they won't listen. Get me the manager or I'm leaving!"

Best business practice aside, this is how you sound and it's somehow Lucids fault?

You need to get your ears checked :) I signed a contract and I'm very pleased that I now want to sign another one early, and surprised its not being offered. Simple as that. Who knows what will be in two months.

In a sense, it distills down to an additional $1,600 loyalty discount for returning lease customers.

They should absolutely eat the last month or two of leases in order to keep people in the system for 3 more years. Seems incredibly short sighted.

They can't because they don't own the vehicle you are leasing, they'd have to buy it from BoA

Clean the wax out. What you should have heard is “I am a happy Lucid customer who wants to be a repeat buyer and would like to move into a Gravity a little early”. The company’s response should be “let’s make that happen today” - but since Lucid signed up with BofA, who couldn’t care less about getting Lucid another sale, the happy owner is told to pound sand and becomes an unhappy customer willing to look elsewhere for his next car. This is dumb.

Ah ic.

Any CFOs on the board? It could be that a subsidiary captive lender entity writing-off a debt looks very different in the financials than cutting a check to an external vendor/partner.

To add, I'd say this is one of the differences between dealership and direct to consumer. DTC is very standardized; you get what you get that is shown in the paperwork and signed for....I know some people like to try to do all sorts of interesting negotiating deals but that isn't this model...

Funny enough, I logged in tonight to see if it was just to me that Lucid doesn’t want to sell another car, and I’ve got 5 months left. 2 months is pretty absurd.

I find the whole idea that Lucid should offer lease pull-aheads a bit confusing.

First, outside the two cases mentioned in this thread, there may not be enough demand to justify the cost and complexity of running a nationwide program — especially for what's already a declining 2026 inventory. It isn't free. Every pulled-ahead lease adds another used Lucid Air to the market, pushing used values down further. And if it prompts a Gravity sale instead, that could mean an even bigger BOM loss than the current Air BOM cost.

Second, if I were already planning to get a Gravity in two months, I wouldn't need a financial incentive to do it. I've always known my lease term and that I'd need to buy or lease another car when it ended. I don't see why Lucid needs to pay money to improve that decision, especially given how strong their 2026 incentive package already is.

Third, I'd assume you'd still expect to get the full slate of 2026 incentives on top of any lease pull-ahead cash — real cash, not accounting dollars.

Finally, if the numbers worked for getting a 2026 Gravity, and I was worried about missing out on the one in-inventory vehicle I really wanted — one that wouldn't be available in that configuration on the 2027 — I'd just buy the Gravity and park the Air for two months. If the numbers don't work for me to do that, they probably don't work for Lucid either. The company needs to wean itself off "selling by incentives," and throwing even more money — especially real cash — at the problem isn't the way to do it.

Just my ten cents (two cents doesn't even buy penny candy anymore).

Dream Ahead!
