Charging extension cord?

2024 Lucid Air Touring
I've had my 2024 Lucid Air Touring for almost two months now. Took it for a weekend trip and needed to charge. Asked the Tesla to navigate to the nearest charger and it took me to some Tesla superchargers.

I pull in and discover that the supercharger cord won't reach. Given how the lot was set up, none of the supercharger cords would reach. I ended up driving about two miles away to an Electrify America charger and had no issues.

My question is this - does an EV charging extension cord exist? Given the partnership with Tesla I'd want one specifically for their network. I don't see anything relevant listed on the Lucid accessories website.

Note: I already own the Lucid NACS to J1772 adapter (which, incidentally, I have yet to use.)

I use an EV Dance extension, but those only work for AC. There are no extensions for DC as far as I know (please someone correct me if I'm wrong)
 
If you pull in between 2 stations (or just halfway to the right most) and pull up really far, it'll reach.

But in an Air, you'll only get 50kw max charging rate, (on v3/v3.5 stations) so you're really better off keeping Tesla stations as an emergency fallback, at last until Tesla actually gets v4 stations out in useful numbers. The cords on those should be longer too.
 
There are no DCFC extensions cords that have proven to be safe to extend the short charging cables on the older Tesla V3 cabinets. If the station is busy and you are unable to take up two stalls and pull up very close to the cabinet, then you're better off looking for a Tesla V3.5 station, Electrify America, or an Ionna station which have started to cover quite a lot of territory in the US.
 
Yes, EV charging extension cords exist. mine is j1772 though, can't speak to Tesla. Good quality 20 foot long was $200 5 years ago; purchased in case a non charging vehicle was parking in the charging space, etc. Used only a couple times with my I-pace (Jag techs advised against it & warned it voided warranty) and 2022 Air at home to allow backing in to charge
 
We should be clearer about which type of charging we are talking about. There are plenty of L2 (AC) charging extension cords out there. There are no L3 (DCFC) cords available just yet, but A2Z has had one in development of quite some time and is projecting it to be available in late July.

@Brian1000 Your best bet right now is to check https://supercharge.info/map before going to a supercharger. Filter by "Stall Type: V4" and "Open to: NACS." That will get you the newer stations with longer cables.
 

In production, scheduled to be available in late July.
That should be OK for the Air, which will pull only about 100 amps from a 450V v3 - v3.5 supercharger.
I wouldn't use it with a Gravity, which can pull 500 amps - but it's not needed due to Gravity's charge port location.

By adding a filter for power>= 500kW, we can also find the few true V4 sites with 1000V capability, optimizing charging speed for both Air and Gravity.

That was going to be my question: although there are a number that say V4, they also say 350 kw. Are those to be treated as the V3.5 for purposes of increased Air charging speeds? In other words, should we really be looking at the 500 kw stations in terms of unlocking the Air's greater potential?
